Brian Collins.
"Do you mind telling us, what the incident was like beforehand?" The officer asked, for the ten thousandth time.
"I told you, I got shot due to somebody tryin' to rob me. I managed to get a hold of my younga' brother Chris to bring me here." I answered, my voice overcome by agitation.
"Are you sure?" The officer edge, causing me to lose my temper.
"How the fuck, you gon' ask somebo'y if they sure if that's how they got shot? Yea, I'm fuckin' sure. Where's my brother at?" I hollered hoping Chris heard me call his name.
"I'm right here, wassup witchu'?" He asked, sitting in the empty chair next to my hospital bed.
"Uh, y'all can leave." I said, shooing away the policemen and the detectives.
"You good, do you need me to getchu' somethin'?" Chris asked, giving me his full attention.
"Nah, I'm good. But, can I ask you a serious question?" I asked, sitting up tightly, ignoring the agonizing pain in my right shoulder.
"Go 'head, you my bro. You can ask me anything you feel the need to." He assured me, sending me small smile.
"Why don'tchu' get a motha'fuckin' girlfrien'?" I asked, with a laugh following behind it.
"That shit'll distract me, I need to focus on family, music, school, and playin' ball." He shrugged, making another point pop into my head.
"Speakin' of playin' ball, you need to stop smokin' weed if that's gon' happen." I said sternly, giving him a sharp look in his eyes.
"I know, but it ain't as easy as it looks." He sighed, as his shoulders fell in disappointment.
"I know Chris, ever since dad died you've been smokin'. That was three years ago man, you gotta' let that shit go otherwise, you ain't gon' make it to the NBA." I said, giving him the real.
"I know, but what does a female have to do with that?" He asked, knowing what was about to be said.
"Nigga, if you getchu' a real woman, then the sex is gon' be superb. If the sex is superb, then you lead to somethin' different. You might even catch feelings, a good woman can take ya' mind off of anything." I said truthfully, surfing the channels on the tv.
"I guess you're right." He nodded, as he began to process everything that was being said.
"How 'boutchu' leave and go home. Go back to the university, go to library and find you a girl." I said, knowing he was about to snap.
five, four, three, two aaaaaaaand one.
"Why the fuck would I leave you here! Are you outta' ya' fuckin' mind! What happened the las' time I lef' you by ya'self? You got fuckin' shot!" He hollered, as his whole face turned a light shade of red.
"Stop bein' stubborn and leave." I said, shooing him away.
"This conversation ain't over." He said, grabbing his things and leaving. Then I heard him come back.
"Why the hell am I goin' to the damn library?" He asked, peaking through the door waiting on my reply.
"To find you a smart one, you need one that can keep you straight." I smirked, as he shook his head in disagreement.
Gotta' love 'em though, I gotta' love 'em.
Tasha Daniels.
"You lied to me! You told me that you loved me!" I shouted in Saniya's face, aiming the gun at her head.
"I do love you, Alexandria don't mean shit. She was just a quick fuck, I promise." She said, as she tried to reach out to me and touch me.
"No, don't touch me. I believed you, now it's time to stop all of your lies." I said, cocking the gun one final time.
"I love you, and I never meant to hurt you. If I knew this would happen, I wouldn't have done it." She whined, as she grabbed the gun gently.
"I love you too.....but I can't do this anymore." I cried, kissing her lips softly, cupping her face in my hands to deepen it.
"C'mon....y'know you can't get rid of me." She moaned, yanking my body closer to hers.
"Goodbye baby." I said, as I placed the gun against her stomach and pulled the trigger, feeling her body go limp in my arms.
I loved her...I fell in love with a woman.
Christopher Brown.
I was on my to campus from my house, when I realized we haven't checked on Tasha. I made a U-turn, going in the direction of her house, when I had almost hit someone.
"Are you fucking crazy!" She shouted, as she kicked the front of my car, causing me to jump out immediately.
"I'm so sorry, I shoulda' been payin' attention. Look, how can I make it up to you?" I asked, hoping she would show some mercy.
"I know who you are, you're Brian's little brother. Christopher." She said, folding her arms acorss her chest.
"Yea, but how do you know me?" I asked, as I pulles her out of the middle of the street.
"You're number fifteen on the school basketball team and he raps." She shrugged, as a smirk plastered acorss her lips.
"Can I atleast take you back to campus?" I asked, hoping she'd say yes.
"I suppose." She smiled, as she got into the passenger seat.
"I never caught your name." I said, as I kept my eyes close on the road.
"Marielle Johnson." She smiled, as she kept her eyes glued to her phone.
I wanna get to know her....
"Hey, um...I was wonderin'...can I have your number?" I asked, shrugging a little bit hoping she'd say yes.
"I guess you could...I wanna get to know you Chris. You seem like a cool guy, not too much like your brother." She smiled, as she put her number in my phone.
"Oh, looks like we're here. I'll catch up with you later, and once again I'm sorry about almost hittin' you with my whip." I smirked, as I placed my hand on her thigh. Hoping that I wasn't moving too fast.
"No problem, I'll be waiting your call. Don't forget about me Christopher." She smiled?l, as she placed as soft kiss on my cheek.
"Believe me, I won't." I smirked, as she got out of my car. I watched her walk into the Subway and I pulled off once I figured she was okay.
