Ichiji didn't find his father for the rest of the night, even after he went home, so he assumed that his father went to the lab to finish up a few loose ends. He walks through the Vinsmoke mansion and to the bathroom, he looks in the mirror as he takes off his mask. He places it to the side and lets out a big sigh.
His looks himself in the eye before he turns on the shower head. There's so much to think about, but he can't calmly sort through it all. Maybe he's happy that his father isn't there to confuse him further, but this is different. He's never felt this way before, his heart won't stop pounding against his ribcage.
He feels himself suffocating in all of this emotion; his senses are overloading and he can't stop it. He's never wanted to feel nothing more than now. He can't fall for a girl he's just met, he can't let her dictate his thoughts.
His fingers loosen his tie as he struggles to breathe, his jacket comes off next, then he starts to unbutton his shirt. His fingers won't stop shaking, so he grabs a cup that's supposed to be used for mouthwash and fills it with water.
He stares at himself in the mirror again before he lifts the cup like he's taking a shot and rushing to finish undressing. He hurried into the shower and stands in the middle, letting the water run over his body. He tries to calm his breathing, but he can't as questions start to arise.
Why hadn't his father told him he was leaving, he always tells Ichiji everything. Why isn't his father here, he would've told somebody to keep an eye out for him and tell him what was going on. Maybe, just maybe, his father doesn't need him anymore.
Maybe he's outlived his usefulness. No, that's not it at all, Ichiji's his favorite. No one else can do what Ichiji can. What is it exactly that he can do? Charm a women? Any man could do that. The water turns too cold for him so he shuts it off.
He throws on the bottom half of his clothes and grabs a towel for his hair. He walks down to the kitchen, his footsteps echoing in the corridor, and sees his brother when he gets there.
"Good evenin', dearest brother," the blue-haired man greets him and pops a piece of chocolate into his mouth. "How'd it go? Was the princess as smokin' as the rumors said?"
"Your mannerisms are repulsive," Ichiji sighs as he grabs a bottle of water from the fridge and twists the cap off. "But to answer your question... I don't know if she was, in your words, smokin', but she was definitely... beautiful."
"Sorry, Ichiji," Niji shrugs, a small frown on his face. "I'm going to bed now, so have a good nights rest or some shit like that."
The red-head rolls his eyes as his brother heads to his room. He takes the water back to his bed before he crawls into it. He thinks of all the things he and (Y/n) spoke about, he told her things that he's never told anyone else before.
He sure that she told him things she's never told anyone else either, but why would they do that? Well, why would he? It's not like he's actually fallen for her, this is just to help his family out. This is just to be somebody in the world, to be able to control the world, then why did he lie to her?
It all made no sense to him, but to her she knew that she couldn't resist him. He's the first person to show her actual kindness, sure he's practically the only person she talked to... so maybe she shouldn't be getting her hopes up and trusting him too easily.
But she can't get the way he smiled at her out of her mind. At first it seemed fake, but once they started to talk it melted into something real; something he probably hasn't been able to do in a long time. It all makes her so upset.
She doesn't know what to do, but it's not like her heart is giving her much of a chance to figure it all out either. It's twisting in agony trying to make sense of this desire that burns so deep within.
She thinks back to when her father offered before the ball to choose someone for her if it all doesn't work out the way they wanted, but it did, she fell in love. Yet maybe it's best if she just lets him choose, it's not like Ichiji could actually love her or anything. She sits up in bed as she hears a noise on her balcony and a light knock on the door.
She sighs out and gets up to check it out. She opens up the doors to find the man she was just thinking about, "Ichiji... how'd-"
"I need to talk to you," he holds up a basket and she lets him in. "I hope you're hungry."
"Yeah, I'm always hungry. They never feed us princesses enough. I've told you this, I'm surprised you remembered," she closes the door to the balcony. "But what do you need? How'd you know where my room was located? Ho-"
He puts a finger on his lips and she shuts up, "I was let in by the guards, I then asked them the way to your room. I figured you find this more romantic than me coming through the front door."
He nods to the food he's displayed on the floor as he was explaining and holds out a plate for her, "Thanks... and... that's really sweet... but do you-"
"Now, onto why I came here," he lets out a deep breath. "This is going to sound insane considering we only met today, but I can't get you out of my mind. I've never felt this way before. It's feels like I'm going crazy and I don't think I can handle all of these emotions. Oh, I'm sorry, I interrupted you... what is it you wanted to ask?"
"Nevermind, you answered it for me," she sits next to him on the floor and they both start to pick at the food. "I... kind of feel the same way, but I'm being skeptical. How do I know you're not lying to me about everything? I just need time..."
"Don't we both," he mumbles under his breath before he grabs a chocolate covered strawberry and holds it out for her. "But didn't your father say you have all the time you'll need?"
"If I make up my mind," she sighs out as she tries to take it, but he pulls it away from her and she glares at him. "I mean, he will give me time, but people's patience can wear thin... and something tells me he doesn't have a very long wick that burns slowly if you know what I mean."
He opens his mouth and points at it, she looks at him confused. He rolls his eyes and lets out a sigh, "That literally blows."
"Yeah," she looks at the spread of food that nearly empty now and all that's left are the strawberries, but he's hoarding them. "Can I have one of those now?"
"No, close your eyes and open your mouth," he says before she rolls her eyes and follows him. He grabs one from the bowl and places it in her mouth, "Bite down now."
He pulls out the steam and places it onto his plate as she chews the fruit. He reaches out and brushes a loose strand of (h/c) hair as she opens her (e/c) orbs, "No one told you that you could open your eyes yet."
She rolls her eyes before her eyelids flutter close again, "Open your mouth again, come on (Y/n)."
She sighs out as she peaks out of her left eye, "I can feed myself, Ichiji."
"Just listen to me, please?" he sighs out as she finally listens to him. "Thank you."
He moves in front of her and grabs the back of her head. His face moves closer to hers and he slips his tongue inside her mouth. Her eyes snap open as she feels the pink muscle trace along her teeth. Once she's taken in the situation, she relaxes into his arms and lets his tongue map out her cave.
He pulls away and gazes into her eyes, "Now aren't you glad you listened to me?"
Her face flushes and she looks away hurriedly, "You're rude. I am the princess, you know? It wouldn't hurt if you'd treat me like one..."
"Well, I'm sorry, Princess," he picks her up and throws her onto the bed before her crawls on top of her. "But I've never met a princess before, which means, I have zero clues on how to treat one."
She giggles as he leans in closer to her and his hands start to wander her sides before he starts tickling her. She wiggles trying to get away from him, but he's too strong so she ends up tiring herself out and panting for air sooner than Ichiji was expecting.
He smiles down at her before he collapses onto the space next to her, "Is this what love feels like?"
"What?" she turns on her side to face him. "You don't know what love is?"
"No," he puts an arm around her waist and pulls her into his chest. "I don't particularly do, do you?"
"Not really well," she looks into his eyes. "But I do believe my father loves me... and tonight... I could feel it. Don't you feel love from your family?"
"No," he closes his eyes as he tries to block out all the memories. "I've told you everything that isn't too private... but I guess if we'll be married soon, then you'll have to know this as well."
"I'm kind of a product of my father's work," he wraps both of his arms around her. "I'm not supposed to have emotions. I didn't used to, then I met you... and it feels like my world is falling apart. In one night, my whole world is crumbling and I'm overthinking everything. I've never felt this way... I've never felt anything besides sadistic. (Y/n), if my father finds out... I have no clue what to do... I'll be... ruined."
"That's a good thing though. It proves your human," she moves her hand up to his face.
He lets out a sigh before he reaches up and grabs her hand, he leans into it more, "But... my father will disown me, I'll have nothing. I won't be anything. I'll have nothing to live for anymore..."
"Ichiji," she stares deeply into his eyes as she lets out another sigh. "You'll have me."
"But won't your father hate the idea of you marrying a man th-" he stops as her lips press against his.
"My father wants me to fall in love with the person I choose to marry," her lips lightly graze his again, "and I think I'm falling in love with you, Ichiji, and I'd be even happier if you could say you love me back."
He looks at her and lets out the air in his lungs that he didn't even know he was holding, "Are you sure? If you-"
"I'll wait until you're ready," she smiles as she kisses his lips. "But I want you to know how I really feel, no matter what happens... Ichiji... I wa-"
"Say no more," he kisses her lips. "I don't want you to say any words that could taint such a rose as yourself."
She gives him a smile before he starts to kiss her neck, "Ichiji... I... just want you to know that you will probably get at least a few months before I'm married to someone else..."
"I know," he whispers in her ear, causing shivers to run down her spine. "I want to marry you, but I'll need to tell my father my decision. And no matter what, I'll be here to ask for your hand in marriage by the end of this month."~Lilac roses are thought to be almost mystical in nature, with symbolism tied to enchantment, desire and even proceeding cautiously, it's not surprising that lilac and purple roses send a message of love at first sight.~
