He felt like his heart had trembled, had been stabbed multiple times and shattered into million pieces that a simple bandage couldn't fix it. The glimmer in his eyes longed gone. He adjusted his posture. "Oh...." Lacking a decent amount of reaction a simple oh escaped his mouth.
"The kingdom of guardians sent you a guardian named Eun." The butler explained before taking his leave. Just as the butler's hand reached the gold doorknob, a faint voice called out. "Butler Zhou, show this girl the way out. I'm not interested in her bargain." Renjun wiped the remaining bbq sauce splattered wide across his lips with a beige napkin, wearing his pride up.
Witnessing his coldness, Eun's eyes darted towards him in mesmerization.
How could a person possibly be this air headed? Isn't his life merely depending on the thread on his enemy's hand to cut loose?
Despite the vicious rage in Eun's eyes, she remained her nature of being calm, "No wait! My task is to protect you. And I've sworn and taken my vow in front of Master Lee. That means I'm staying. I don't simply follow any command from anyone, especially if it's coming from a foolish person. I'm too good for it." She couldn't let him get to her. If the master knew that she miserably failed her very first task as soon as she step in the particular field, there will be no next time for her.
Renjun gasped in disbelief. "Excuse me, what did you say just now? Which stairs did you climb up that you put your position this high?" His face remained placid.
"You're excused. What stairs? If the stairs that you're talking about are years of heart wrenching trials, trainings and hard work then you're right. I've successfully climbed one. And read my lips boy, I won't let a selfish and good for nothing person like you ruin my opportunity and hard work." Eun was at the point that she would even get irritated just by looking at him. Her chest rapidly moved due to her improper breathing.
On another hand, a person remained sitted on her place contorted in peace as she took a fancy towards Eun. "Butler Zhou, thank you for enduring us. You may take your leave now." She finally pierced through the two raccoons. The energy between Renjun and Eun ricochet fiercely but suddenly dimmed by the sudden interruption from the young mistress. "Brother Renjun, if you hesitate to take her, I'm afraid that I might use my power to take her forcefully." A touch of enchantment touched Mia's lips as her gaze never once did ever leave Eun.
Mia was completely dazed off. Her instincts were telling her that the fierce girl in front of her was going to be a great accompaniment to her lonely life. Mia walked closer before offering her hands. "Hi I'm Mia! Renjun's little sis-"
"Cousin sister!" Renjun abruptly interrupted. He saw a wild bewilderment on his sister's face and slightly furrowed his eyebrows as a reflexion, insisting her to urgently stop talking. She shrugged, sticking out her tongue at him, "Make me!"
