It took Eun a moment to register what had happened. Her eyes were wide open and met Renjun's. Why did you cover me... She couldn't depend on someone especially it was coming from the one who she supposed to protect! Eun sluggishly pulled Renjun's head to the brink of her neck, embracing him with a hand while the other was outstretched in front to protect the boy in her embrace, she demanded, "Please stop!"
Just as she ready to take the impact of the hit, the man flew a few meters back when the sword touched Eun's bare hand. Eun was startled so did the man. Not to mention the sword had broken into pieces! How... The man's gaze fluctuated between the broken sword and Eun. They were on a great level of shock. "H-how..." The man's voice sounded hoarse and deep. His fingers fidgeted with anxiety. "N-no way! Are yo-you an.... angel!?" The man didn't wait for her answer. He quickly jumped out of the window which was purposely left ajar. He took out a hidden knife in his shoes and aimed for Eun's heart but it missed and instead it stabbed in her abdomen.
Eun too, wasn't giving up! She reflected pretty fast as she deliberately ran towards the man, took out a needle from her pocket and stuck it at the man's right leg. The needle pierced into the man's leg leaving a deep stitches scar underneath his smooth skin. The man seemed like he didn't notice as he continued his escape plan and disappeared in plain sight.
Through the treacherous situation, a question lingered through Eun's mind making her legs weakened at the thought. Only pure angels were that powerful to break a sword that was strong like the titan's! An icy ball of fear formed at the pit if her stomach at a mere thought of it. Eun had lost a great amount of blood compared to Renjun, her wounded abdomen had been oozing blood non stop.
She quivered gently and was about to fall but Renjun instinctively caught her and tighten his grip around her body, "Eun! No, no open your eyes! Stay with me, okay don't close your eyes the doctors are on their way you'll be find, trust me. Breathe in with me okay. Don't close your eyes okay!" The girl's long lashes trembled faintly, barely keeping up with Renjun.
Remorse suffocated his heart as he yelled for the doctors pathetically. He held Eun in his embrace whilst cautiously laying her on the ground. His actions and whereabouts seemed to be done with distinctive gentle as he didn't wish to add salt to the injury. "I-Im so-sorry I should ha-have come earlier." Eun muttered with a shaky voice as if she was in wrong. To her, she could die but the person under her protection could not perish!
Renjun was well aware that he indeed wasn't the last line in cupid's royal blood. Therefore his ability was the one that was keeping him back from curing Eun. He couldn't braid it up even if he tries his best because Eun's wound was a major case. Only the last line was that powerful to cure Eun. "Mia! Doctors! Anyone help!" Eun's breathing had became short and unsteady. She knew she couldn't hang on for a long time so she really wanted to have an explanation for a bunch of questions in her mind. She was yearning for a cusp of an answer just then, something came to her vision, Renjun's injured arm.
