"Let him go"
Three words
You may read as easily as it seems
Say every word, over and over again
Wishing that someday you can put it into action
And not just let those words repeat like an echo inside your head
You want to be free, you want to let him go
You desperately want to cut the rope
But you keep grasping it, you keep holding on
Until it drains you, consumes you
And leaves you with nothing but utter emptiness
It left a very dark and deep hole in your heart
Since you gave all your might to him
You keep enduring it because he said he loves you
But did he really mean it? Or was it just you who thought it was real?
If a man loves you, he will protect your heart
He will fight for you as much as you fight for him
But if he can't do the same
Wake up, my dear, because you deserve moreYou tried to keep him but he chose to let go
You tried to save him but he didn't want to be saved
How can you still go on if he has already let go of your hands? You did your part and it's time to let him go
You are worthy being treasured and loved, but not by him
Of course, you love him, but sometimes loving also means letting go
It is giving way to something meant and right for you
It's accepting the fact that both of you are not destined to be togetherHe just came to teach you a lesson
But he never meant to stay
Because what's meant for you will never pass you byAfter all, you loved him, but he chose to break you

PoetryIt's important to know when you've had enough. Giving up doesn't mean you're weak, it means you're strong enough to accept the truth that sometimes letting go is better than holding on to something that will only hurt you.
