her rebound, his tears.

watching his own tears trickle down his face

he blindly swipes at his eyes, slamming the bathroom door closed

a bundle of painful emotions rushing through his mind

she thought about getting off his bed to hug him

wanting to have him in her embrace

his swollen face,

and hunched shoulders,

that seemingly carry the weight of the world and more-

But she wouldn't budge

for if she did, that'd mean she cares.

And she didn't,

She can only lie so much.

He didn't understand

he did this for her

he went into this relationship

for her

she was the one who asked!

Then why is she making it so difficult

Why, even when they are basically still strangers

did it hurt him,

it hurt when she brushed him off

and called, only when she wanted something

and begged, only when she wanted something she knew-

they both knew-

she shouldn't want

or should have

and he-

is so tired,

so exhausted

from this endless- suffocating relationship

that he never wanted.

At least

not with her

For he never saw her in the way she saw him

She saw him as a potential love interest

maybe further than potential

maybe a forever

but

both of them at such an age

cannot grasp the concept of forever

no one can

not that I know of.

He was oblivious. He just wanted comfort

he hadn't a care for whom gave it to him.

He was young then, his heart trusting-

but now

it's shielded

he protects it

at the time

it was fresh

and unscarred

but even then one could tell,

but even then one could tell, her heart was better prepared for the cruelty within this world than he.

For unlike him, hers was battered.

she left

but not till after she caught his heart

hook

and strung him around her finger

line

and she ran, alone

sinker.

Already tortured and manhandled by those in her past.

So, calmly watching

controlling the ache of her memories.

Memories that came from imagining her self in the same state he was in.

She waited until his racking sobs had silenced

and listened as they turned to sniffles

and sighed when they turned to snores.

She shared her pain

and she can let go now

and he can find someone better

and she can run.

Run away and not feel guilty

for this is what runs through the mind of irrational young women

in a times of despair and

the confrontation with the fact that

she was too late to take it all back.

New wounds and an impenetrable wall

Well... He hopes it's impenetrable.

he aimlessly wanders

attempting to find one who would never harm him nor let him cry alone

who would care

and we wish him luck

and she should have never gone there

and forever

they shall part.

he deserves better

and she needs a lesson

and hopefully,

this is the end of their story together.
