»Where's your mum?«, Taro asked. At that point he realized what his situation really was like. He felt overtaxed – never in life before he had to care for a child.
A few minutes later, a women's voice broke the silence. »Yvie?«, she shouted.
The girl's heard turned to the direction the voice was coming from. Even when her supposed mother appeared around a corner, she remained calm in his arm.
»Yvie!« It was a young woman who ran towards Taro and the toddler and finally embraced her daughter. Because the little girl was no longer close to him, a sudden feeling of emptiness arose.
»Thank you so, so much!« Her mother hugged him with tears of joy in the eyes. They were beautiful and blue too, but Taro remembered Yvie's eyes as something unique on earth.
»I'm Freya«, she said and declared the situation. She told him how Yvie had gone out in the garden and didn't come back, how she searched for her all day long.
Then she asked him how he got here.
»Uhm«, he answered. All of a sudden, he was uncomfortable with him droving fast trough Australia. What if he couldn't have stopped the car in time?
»I'm just passing trough...«
»Okay, then thank you, again. I'd love to invite you to us. You'd love it too, wouldn't you darling?« Freya kissed her daughter's hair and Yvie smiled for the first time while she nodded.
Actually, Taro had a meeting with his surfer club in Adelaide tomorrow morning. He should have drove on.
Yvie followed other plans. She closed her little hand around his. »You, to my home!«
Like a thunder, Yvie swirled up his life.
