Innocent

Chapter 4, The

Night crawled closely in the sky. The sun set over in the horizen. I smell the sleeve of my jacket. My nose stings. I set my sights on a emtpy dock. I look at the other dock. It's empty too. I run towards a fishing shed. I hide behind it. I hear faint voices. I jump a little. On the other side of the trees, the third dock was occupied. The two men were sitting off the dock splashing their feet around in the water. One of them look up, "We should get going. It's getting dark." "Sure, lets catch one more fish for the barbecue." 'Barbecue'. The word whispers through my mind. My mouth starts to water at the sound of the word.

"Garrrr" a sound comes to my ears. I jump a little. 'What was that!' I say to myself. "Garrrr" The sound comes again. I jump a little. "Garrr" It rumbles in my ears. I look down at my stomach. 'Yes. I am hungry'. The word 'barbecue' had made me hungry. "I got one! Woo!" One of the men had said. It stunned me. "Awesome bro! Lets clean up!" The other had said. 

They pack up their gear and walk to their car. The doors open with a click. Two slams come afterwards. The engine starts and they drive away. 

I sit for a few more seconds and wait till I can no longer hear the cars engine. I jump up and run towards the dock I had been waiting to run off of and into the warm sweet summer water. I stand on the grass in front of the dock. I take my clothes off until I am in my underwear and bra. 

I run fowards feeling the damp wood beneath my feet. The end of the dock closes near in. I sprint off my feet and into the water. SPLASH! The water is refreshing on my body. I come up from the deep to darkness. My only light is the moon glimmering on the water. I get out of the water and shake off. 

I Grab my clothes and dunk them under water. Washing the filth from the clothing. I look at them. They look pretty good. I dress in the wet clothing and spin around to dry them off some more.
