Hey,
Sorry it took longer than usual. I was back at college for an introduction ready for the next year of A Levels. It has been useless but i have had to go.
So here you go. This is a bit of a filler but the next couple of chapters do become a lot more interessting.

Chapter 9
Quiet sobbing was the only sound that filled the beautifully decorated room. The broken cries of a mother echoed off of the walls decorated with rich paintings which made this moment seem more heart-breaking with every passing second. In the mother’s arms, she held a child, a beautiful baby girl, swaddled in a bundle of cloth. She desperately fought back the tears that ran down her delicate cheeks and onto the cloth wrapping the child.
This was the moment a mother’s heart broke.
The woman was beautiful with her gorgeous brown shoulder length hair and hazel eyes which looked adoringly at her baby daughter within her arms. She looked tired and exhausted but that didn’t hide her beauty. She looked over to her husband beside her whose face betrayed the broken emotions that he felt as well. This was a family about to be broken apart.
The husband was beautiful too. He had really dark brown hair and brown eyes which was clearly reflected in the child in his wife’s arms. Both of them were in their early twenties but seemed to be carrying too heavy a burden. He was clearly torn as he hugged his wife and child to him. There were only two others present in the room. A young woman with golden blonde hair and a black haired young man. They both watched on conflicted.
“You must look after our daughter. Do not tell her of anything. She must not know who she is until she shifts for the first time but we hope the war will be over by then. Treat her with as much love and care as you can give her and if she does shift and find out about us, tell her how much we love her and that we had no other choice,” the man spoke, struggling to keep his voice steady.
“I promise. I will protect and love your daughter like she was my own,” the blonder haired woman spoke with confidence and respect.
The mother whispered sweet nothings at her daughter about how much she loved her and would miss her but that this was for her own good. She kissed the child gently on the forehead and her husband did the same. The blonde haired woman picked up her backpack full up with everything she needed before taking the child into her arms. She nodded her head in respect before walking towards the door that led out of the palace and towards the forest. As she took one last glance back, she saw the husband consoling a hurt wife in his arms as she collapsed with grief…
Leaning against my usual tree, my mind ran away from me with ever swirling thoughts which fought for dominance. Curling up against the tree, I placed my head in my hands as I tried desperately to calm myself down so I could actually comprehend just how my life had flipped in the past day. The only problem was that now after my first shift; my emotions seemed even more intense and overwhelming than usual. I knew I needed to keep my anger in check otherwise I would risk shifting.
I sighed again as I brushed my hand through my hair pushing it back and off of my face. I felt it tumble back in waves down my back. I could feel the anger, hurt and confusion simmer beneath the surface but I knew I couldn’t get overwhelmed by them otherwise I would risk looking at today in a much worse light.
