*phone ringing*
"Hello?" I say.
"Hey baby." Dean says.
"Dean..it's five in the morning. Why are you calling? I asked.
"I wanted to tell you I wouldn't be able to make it today. Work stuff." Dean said.
"Babe, it's Saturday." I said.
"I know, Emily. I have a lot of stuff to catch up on."
I hung up the phone. I went back to sleep. When I woke up, I had ten messages from Dean.
*text messages*
Dean: I'm sorry
Dean: I'll be at your house as soon as possible
Dean: I love you, i really do
Dean: Baby?
Dean: I'm heading to work.
Dean: I'm sorry, I know you wanted help with the garden.
Dean: please don't be mad, I have to get up and go when work calls
Dean: I'm here
Dean: I'll text you when I get off
Dean: I love you
I feel like he's hiding something, but I don't know.
I get up, and do my morning routine.
I get a call from Rae around 12pm.
*phone ringing*
"Hey Rae."
"Hey Emily. What are you doing today?"
"Nothing at all. Dean had to go to work." I said.
"Well would you like to come over? I've got nothing to do." Rae asked.
"Yeah, I'll be there in 10 minutes." I said, and the call ended.
I pack up my stuff and head down the road. About 4 minutes from home, I see what looks like Dean's impala, so I pull to the side of the road. I definitely saw Dean sitting on the trunk of the impala.
"Oh hell no." I say to myself.
I grab my phone and text Rae "It might be a while".
As I make my way towards Dean, I see a guy I've never seen before. He has a long, brown coat on. It looks odd, so I stop. Dean notices me. He has an 'oh crap' look on his face. I head over.
"What the hell, Dean!?"
"Emily"
"Who's this?" The man in the coat said.
"Who are you?" I said. "And why the hell aren't you at work?"
"What are you doing here?" Dean asked.
"Why are you avoiding my questions?" I asked back.
Dean looked at the man, and then looked back at me. "Emily, go home."
"No, who do you think you are? I'm not going anywhere till you tell me what's going on." I say back.
Dean stood up, towering over me. "Go home." He repeated.
"No." I said with a firm voice.
"Let's go". He said to the man, and they got into the impala.
"I will find out what you're hiding!" I yell as Dean rolls up his window.
