As the Elite was being healed in the Med-Bay, Zone and the team were in the briefing room at attention with their helmets at their sides. The Director's back was facing them while the Counselor was tapping something on his Tac-Pad.

"May I ask as to which one of you thought it was an acceptable idea to bring a Sangheili aboard my ship?" The Director asked controlling his anger. Zone stepped forward still at attention. The Director turned and sighed at Arizona before walking up to him.

"Agents, you are dismissed, you as well Counselor." They all nod before leaving. The Director proceeds to take off his glasses and pinches the bridge of his nose before sitting down.

"Agent Arizona, I know of your past." Zone's eyes widened slightly but kept his cool. "I know that your were trained and drilled to be a soldier at the age of 8, and I can understand your relating to this Sangheili because you fought alongside them in the Great War, but understand that that has passed, we are at peace with the Covenant. We have our own missions and objectives here and now and that is to stop the Insurrection. Am I clear?" Zone nodded affirmatively.

"Good, now find out from the Sangheili how he came to be in the clutches of our enemy and send him home to his people." Arizona saluted the Director before exiting. The Director put his glasses back on and turned back to his console. "Alpha?"

"Whaddaya want this time?" He asked annoyed.

"I think it's time we worked on making our newest member of the Project speak."

"You know gotta be honest, kinda had a feeling you would be saying that soon. Let me pull up some schematics and see what FILSS and I can come up with."

The Director smiled and held his chin. <Things are going to be interesting for Mr. Wolford> He thought to himself.

"How long has it been there?" Wash asked as he, Wyoming, York, and Carolina watched the medics tend to the Elite from behind the window.

"At least six hours." Carolina answered as she crossed her arms. They heard the door hiss open and saw Zone enter the room with his helmet on his back. The Elite looked up at the silver and red Freelancer and smiled baring his teeth.

"Agent Arizona, we weren't expecting anyone to visit this thing." One of the medics said. Zone then smacked the medic on the back of the head. "OW! What'd I say?" The Freelancer group behind the window was surprised to see Zone react that way. Zone rolled his eyes, he then looked at his pained comrade before putting a hand on his shoulder.

The Elite then spoke, "Thank you my friend, for coming to my aid." Zone smiled and nodded as a 'your welcome'. "My name is Maz'rah, General and Shipmaster of the Carrier 'Absolution of Fire' I was on a religious quest with two of my best Ultras, when we arrived at the site, we were ambushed. They killed my Elites and took me prisoner. The ODSTs and their men, they interrogated me, tortured me into telling them information about a Monitor buried beneath a desert wasteland. I refused." (SOUND FAMILIAR TO ANYONE?) "When they had finished and abandoned the facility to leave me for dead, I thought I would never see my brothers in arms again. But after you and your squad found...I am eternally grateful towards you human, what is your name?" Zone brought out his holo-screen on his forearm and typed his real name. 'REX' it said in bold letters.

~His real name is Rex? Good to know~ Carolina thought to herself.

"Rex..." Maz'rah then placed his hand over his heart. "You have my everlasting gratitude, might it be possible to open communications to my ship?" Zone the proceeded to type on the console on the wall.

"Opening communications." FILSS said aloud. Then the screen turned into a voice volume control screen.

Suddenly an alien voice came over the speaker speaking Sangheili. Maz'rah then spoke back to the voice and explained everything that had happened. Zone understood the native language of the Elites, though he wished he could speak it with his own natural voice. Maz'rah then finished speech with the Elite on the comms before it shut down.

"They will be arriving shortly." Maz'rah then stood to his full height. "Tell your Director I am grateful for your help and medical aid, but now I must return to my quest."

As Maz'rah, Zone and Cyclops watched a Phantom enter the hangar bay, the other Freelancers and the Director watched from afar. Suddenly the grav-lift beneath the Phantom lit up and two Elites wearing standard armor came and bowed their heads at their Shipmaster.

"The entire ship has been distraught over your disappearance Shipmaster." One of Elites said.

"Fear not brother, for I have been rescued and healed by a kind and gracious group of humans." Maz'rah said smiling at Zone. "Come let us return to the Carrier, we have much to discuss with the Counsel. The Elites then escorted their leader onto the Phantom. As the door closed, Maz'rah said, "Fare thee well Rex, I wish nothing but good adventures ahead!" Zone saluted the Shipmaster before the Phantom shot out of the hangar. Cyclops nudged its head against Zone, making him look down and rub his head.

"Now that that has passed, let us focus now and our new mission." The Director said to Zone and the other Freelancers.

"Sir, yes sir!" They all acknowledged. Time to get back into action.
