You know that feeling of anxiety you get before stepping onto an elevator, hoping that it won't suddenly stop and you're stuck for hours upon hours until someone comes to your rescue (A/N: anyone else feel this way?) or the feeling you get before you have to present in front of your entire class. That's essentially how I feel almost everyday, today is no different except for one thing; Adrian was waiting by the steps of the school and as I walked up, his face seemed to brighten up.

That couldn't have been because of me could it? He was probably looking at someone else, I've only talked to the boy once and it's definitely not something that I would label us as now being friends.

"Hey! Celeste, right?" Adrian yelled as he joined me in walking

Well, apparently I was wrong. The boy must be delusional.

"Uhm, Yeah" I replied

"Where's your class? I'll walk with you" wow look at that smile, no Celeste focus.

"I've got History with Sal and you really don't have to walk with me, you could always go walk with your friends"

"We are friends, and I'm walking with you. Therefore, I'm walking with my friend" That's not what I meant... but okay.

"Here give me your phone" Adrian said, not even waiting for my response as he grabbed my phone out of hand and added his number into my phone, calling his and adding my contact into his phone.

"You know, you should really put a password on your phone" he told me.

"I didn't really see a purpose in it" I said laughing "I don't really have anything to hide on here, plus I don't have many friends so I wouldn't lose much"

"Well, now I'm here so no worries!" he said posing as if he had been a superhero, causing me to laugh.

Looking around the halls I saw the faces of many students staring at us with their beady little demon eyes, which might have been a slight exaggeration but oh well, I had been oblivious to their whispers and pointed fingers as they tried to figure out who I was and why in the world I was walking and conversing with their god.

The sight of this alone was enough to stop my laughter and become quieter

"Uh... Adrian, everyone is pointing and staring at us, I don't know if you want to continue to talking to me. I don't think rumors are good for your reputation"

"Who cares what they think" he says scoffing "they're just jealous that they aren't in your position"

"Oh, well i guess"

Turning around I saw that we had made it to my class, in fact we had probably gotten here a couple minutes ago and had just been standing around talking and attracting more attention than I would I have liked.

"I've gotta get to class, I'll see you later Stardust!" he called out to me, waving as he walked away.

Shaking my head with a small smile, I turned around and walked into my class and sat in my seat. As the bell rung, I pulled out my notebook and begun to get ready for class to start. Looking up I saw the eyes of my classmates as they all stared at me, not even caring that it was making me uncomfortable.
