Forgotten Love

The Beginning (Short story)

Dawn's point of View.

As I walk in with my beautiful long brown hair in my first hour which is my favorite class Algebra. The teacher made me sit by a guy that everyone knows as a player and a cheater. But I have heard about him around the school plus since being a new student, in the middle of the school year it was the only seat open. So I kept my head down hoping he wouldn't look at me..

Boy was I wrong...

When I looked up to see what the teacher was writing on the board the guy is still staring at me so I put a curtain of hair around my face so I wont see him. But five minutes later he pulls back my hair as he continues to stare at my face.. What does this guy think he is doing!?! Seeing that I had spilled my coffee all over my desk i felt so embarrassed in all of my life. Great, today is just SO not my day! Ugh!
I look over at the guy and he laughs at my embarrassing moment and he quickly stops laughing and extends his hand. Smiling at me he had told me his name was Tyler. I didn't know if I should tell my name still being the new student in a new school, as he puts his hand out I just shrug shaking his hand while mumbling "H-hi I'm Dawn as you heard now if you may please leave me alone while I'm writing my notes."

I never really had friends since i kept moving from place to place over the last two years. Sure I had a couple of boyfriends but they would only last a couple of weeks to a year at most. For this strange reason, I have a weird feeling that this time it would be different maybe it would be where I won't have to worry about being the odd one out of the entire school. Tyler goes back to looking forward at the front of the  classroom as the teacher speaks "the people at your table will be your partners for the rest of the day."
Great that is just my luck... Why do I have to sit by the bad boy of the school.
