"So, who should we speak first about? Eleanor? Dmitri? Ludovica?"

No one spoke. No one even moved a muscle.

"Or perhaps about Angie. A simple Omega who fell in love with a powerful Alpha and who is now with child, one that I may add is one of the descendants I spoke of earlier."

"Is that why they wanted me dead? But if they kill me they can't—"

She was cut off by Eleanor slamming her fist on the table the vampire sat on. "Vincent stop this nonsense. When I came here with Dmitri for weapons you mentioned nothing—"

"Why would I? It wouldn't have helped you at all. When the boy came the first time, all of his memories were locked away. So, why would I mention things he himself couldn't even remember and you, a woman driven to leave everything behind—would you have gone back if I told you everything I saw in your eyes?"

Eleanor looked away. "I ran because I knew I would end up—"

"You ran because you were heartbroken and I have met your mate." Everyone fell silent now. "Your memories do not match, which is quite odd."

A soft growl erupted from her lips. "Vincent, who is behind everything?"

"I wish I knew, but no one really does. Some say an Alpha has grown mad. Others say a woman," he met her gaze. "Just as yourself Eleanor, seeks unlimited power and wants to kill all the royals and take over both our worlds, but of course, these are just assumptions." He paused. "Don't you wish to know what I saw in your mate's eyes?"

Eleanor averted her gaze. "Walter and I are finished."

Vincent smiled. "You both are so blind to see what truly happened."

"I am not blind," Eleanor growled, flaunting her sharp canine teeth. "I see clearly what is in front of me."

"You will have to go to him."

Eleanor's eyes widened. "And why the hell would I do—"

"Without his aid, you all will perish." He paused.

"Why would you say something like that?" Ludovica glared at Vincent. "Whoever this is is breaking pack law and the king and Queen will punish them—"

"For what exactly?" Vincent tilted his head. "You are a silver wolf, so is Dmitri. Eleanor is the child of a rogue and Angie broke the law the second she lay in bed with your brother. To your leaders—to everyone you know...you are nothing but outlaws."

"We don't need anyone's aid to beat this enemy," Eleanor said.

"Really? For your pride, you are willing to sentence everyone around you to death? Can you imagine if there is some crazed Alpha seeking to breed Ludovica and Dmitri plus a sociopath trying to capture all three of you? Can you really fight off two powerful enemies at once? Doubt so. You wolves think of yourselves as invincible but our healing power has its limit. Weakened enough, wolf or vampire will die just as any human would."

Eleanor took a seat after raking a hand through her hair. "So, you expect me to return to Extrio and what? Walter would never aid any rogue—"

"Walter is kind. You better than anyone else knows that. If not, when he figured you were the grandchild of the rogue master's son, he would have killed you without a second thought. If you do not get him to aid you, no one else will."

Eleanor clasped a hand over a mark on her neck. "Fine. I'll go ask for his aid, but I won't reveal myself to him."

Vincent raised an eyebrow. "And how exactly will you face him then?"
