Whenever you look up Doki or Doki Doki on Google, you get DDLC. It really pisses me off, because 'doki doki' is so common in manga.
But you know what, you can't blame something for becoming popular.
But if your making a visual novel, and it has a character who commits suicide, be prepared for "Oh you copied Sayori." and sht like that. Same with other characters. Shy girl who likes knives, Yuri. Person who knows that they're in a game, Monika. Tsundere baker or, pink hair and a hair clip is Natsuki.
If you add a damn literature club, it's gonna be all, "Fck you, you obviously copied Doki Doki. You have no shame, btch??"
