It is Saturday morning. So, I'm deciding to just stay in bed and watch television. It's a good day to watch Riverdale. As I turn on the T.V., my phone rings. Who could it be? I pick up the phone and mutter, "Hello?"

"Hey, Janet."

"Paula! Hey, girl. Are you feeling better?" Paula didn't go to school because she was sick. I had to ask if she's okay. What kind of friend would I be if I didn't.

"Yeah. I feel better than I did two days ago. How are you doing?" She asked sniffling.

"I'm good. I'm just chil--."

"Girl, tell me what happened at school." She cut me off. "What did I miss?"

"Well, everything is same old, same old. But Prince gave me a ride back to my house. I'm not gonna lie, he's kinda cute."

"You have a crush on him, don't you?" She kind of sounds disgusted.

"Yeah, I guess I do."

"Janet, he's your brother's best friend. How would you feel if I liked your brother?"

"I wouldn't mind. Besides, he's gay."

"I guess you're right," She said, laughing and sniffling like a sick hyena. "Janet, I gotta go. See you later, Sis."

"Bye, sis." I smile and hang up the phone.

As I hung up the phone, I stare at this picture of Paula and me on my desk. I take a minute to admire it.
