I don't own marvel, this is a one-shot of Ned wishing, and wondering where his best friend was, or how he was.  This is a song fic, my first, so flame all you want, but I made it, and that's that.

I made up a couple of the scenarios in this tho.

There are feels and I'm sorry. But not really, I just really think that peters and Neds friendship is really under appreciated.

Ned was happily listening to music through his ear-buds, when he felt someone touching his face. And he recognized Peter's soft- rather warm- hands right away.

"Ned, I need a distraction."

It's been a long day, without you my friend.

That's the last thing he heard before, staring at his best friend,he let out a soft, "Holy shit," then shouting for the whole bus to here, "We're all gonna die!" And leading the student passengers to the back of the bus and turning their attention off of Peter.

No one else may have been paying attention, but he was staring straight at Peter- no- Spider-Man, now that he had his mask on, swing away towards the big doughnut space ship.

He wasn't worried, why should he be worried, he was a superhero after all, so,  that means that Peter can take care of himself and the city, right?

He didn't want to, but he did. He was worried. Peter may be the one with the spider-sense, but he had this feeling, like he wouldn't be seeing Peter for a while.

And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again.

Ned knew Peter didn't like it when Ned got involved in the actual fight, because even Ned knew, he would be horrible in the field. That's why he stayed at the computer, watching and making sure that Peter didn't get hurt too badly. Because it was his job to worry about Peter. Because if Spider-Man was too busy worrying about his city, then who would worry about Spider-Man.

So, when Ned went over to the street where everyone said that everything went down, and saw the wreckage, he knew Peter wouldn't approve.

He almost wished he didn't go see for himself. Almost. Doesn't mean he was wasn't, he learned something by going down there.

Peter didn't text him back. Nor did he answer his 22 calls.

"Hey, this is Peter, sorry, I might be busy, so can't talk right now, leave a message!" He heard himself in the background tell a joke and then Peter letting out a giggle then the beep for the 23 time.

When he watched the camera footage that was featured in the news, of Spider-Man latching a web into an unconscious man that was wearing a red cloak, then a blue light lifting them both up onto the spaceship, he couldn't help but think, you better have one hell of a story when you get to Earth. And then, you better come back to Earth, if you don't, I'll kill you with my own hands. And Finally, just please come back, I need you.

We've come a long way, from where we began.

Thinking about the possibility that Peter might not come back, got Ned thinking about when they first met.

Eighth grade year, last year of middle school, Med had just moved to New York, and was hoping to not be a complete loser and be able to make friends.

It was lunch time, and he was about to go sit with the boy he met in English, Jared, but then he saw a lonely looking boy, sitting alone on the floor in the corner, clearly not expecting anyone to sit next to him, because they hadn't for the last two weeks of school, why would anyone start now? But Ned didn't know that, it was still his first day.
