Love Lost & Found

Chapter 10

"Ivy, you know you want to be with me, you don't need a jerk like Sam making your life difficult; just be with me..." Kyle's voice drifted off, echoing into the darkness.

"Ivy, you know you and I belong together, we're soulmates, and you're the only one for me...." Sam's soothing voice sounded softly. I felt my heart speeding up as I felt Kyle grab onto my left hand, and Sam grab onto my right, and both began tugging on me, fighting over me. My heart was pounding against my skull as I could hear both Sam and Kyle persuading me to be with them, and jerking me towards them, and away from the other. I looked over at Kyle; his gorgeous golden eyes, I could see into them for miles. But when I looked over to Sam, my heart almost stopped. His piercing blue eyes, filled with mystery, love, passion, and sincerity. Something about it just made my heart melt.

Suddenly, everything went black. I felt a hand stroking my face gently, and softly cupping my cheek.

"Ivy....." He whispered. I shuddered as his cool breath hit my face. Next thing I knew, a pair of smoothe lips gently brushed against mine and my toes curled. I wrapped my arms around his neck to get closer to him and deepen the kiss. I felt his arms coil around my tiny body like a snake. He broke the kiss, but only for a moment. "Ivy..." He muttered huskily. Before returning his lips to mine, I quickly peeked open my eyes, to get a glimps of those eyes.....

"IVYYYYY!!!" My body shot up suddenly from bed, my body in a slight cold sweat and my hair a total mess, my hand instantly went to my mouth and softly touched my lips. It was just a dream...but it felt so real. "IVY!" My mother shouted again. I let out a low groan as I forced myself out of my comfy bed, stealing a glance at myself in my mirror as I trudged by; my hair was all frazzled, and I looked like I hadn't slept in weeks! I looked so nasty. I sighed and pushed forward and forced myself downstairs to see what my mom wanted.

When I reached the kitch, where my mom was, she had a bright and happy smile planted on her face, that was nothing new. "Ivy darling, you received a present this morning!" My mom squealed with excitement. All I could think thought was; 1. What is it? and 2. Who is it from? "But you have to close your eyes first!" She demanded. I rolled my eyes with a grin on my face, befire shielding my eyes with my hands. "Open."

Before me, was a beautiful bouquet of a mixture of white and light pink roses. My heart sped up and I grabbed it quickly, burrying my face into the elegant flowers, and filling my lungs with the decadent aroma.

"They're so beautiful!" I gasped. My mother gave me a sly grin, which only made me want to know what she was up to. "Was there a card?" I asked curiously as I looked around the vase. She handed me a small white envelope and I quickly tore it open.

'Please forgive me' was all it said, and I instantly knew who it was from. My heart raced as I bolted up the stairs to my room, dashing to my phone.

To: Sam

Ivy: Thank you sooooooo much! They are so beautiful Sam! I love them!

My heart couldn't stop fluttering with the anticipation of him replying to me. I let out a deep sigh, I couldn't believe he got me these amazing flowers! I almost regretted being so mean to him at the party. I suddenly felt my phone buzzing and grabbed it instantly.

Sam: I knew you would like them, can I please see you today?

My heart froze; he wanted to see me! I happily hit the buttons on my phone.

Ivy: Sure, Sam! When and where?

Sam: I'll pick you up around 4, how does that sound?

Ivy: Perfect

I could hardly wait for me and Sam's date! Right after we made the arrangements, I rushed downstairs to tell my mom and as soon as I told her, we were bouncing all around with excitement! She has always liked Sam, and used to tell us when we were little that we were going to get married someday. Of course being the young kids that we were, we didn't think anything of it; but I secretly always wished that we would.
