You had a smile that could light up the sky

And the common room

You would laugh and cry and we could share every moment

We had it all

Right there

Fingertips reach

Away

And then

Our gold was taken,

Locked away

Behind a curtain of Death

They took you

And your smile

I couldn't remember any more

Until twelve years later

A young boy on a train,

Without parents

But with a heart full of love

He had friends

A home

I awoke to my memories

And looked in his eyes

There he was

Memories

Laughter and joy

Out of reach

Gone

A burst of light

A terrible scream that I couldn't hear

I taught

And learned to find myself

Over a cup of tea

And possibly some chocolate

I felt...

Empty

Sad

Yet...

Full

All at once

Memories

Overcome

By them

Then

I was handed a map

To discover the truth

To find you

And save you

Alas, I did

But the rat got out

And you were still guilty

I packed my things and left our home

For I didn't know

Maybe, when all of this is over

We could be a family

It was

Too soon

You joined the world beyond the curtain of death

Your eyes rolled back into your head

And you whispered your last farewell

In a breath

I wanted to fall to my knees, cry

Scream

Beg God to let you come back to me

Dear Lord

I was the wolf

I was loved

By you

And two years later, in the world beyond Death

I rejoined my friends

Clasped your hands and

Smiled once more
