Chapter 35

Emily's POV:

Today is our prom. We're finally done with exams. We've had 2 very intense weeks so prom is the perfect way to end the school year, to unwind. After Jake's super cute proposal 2 weeks ago we all went over to Liam's to celebrate and it ended up being the perfect night. Since then, Jake and I have barely had time to spend together. Not because we didn't want to, but because of the stupid exams. We had to be studying for them most of the time, but now we're finally free! And the time that we didn't spent studying, I went searching for the perfect prom dress with my friends. I know, 2 weeks before prom and I didn't have a dress. But to be fair, I wasn't even sure if I'd be attending until Jake and I began dating again. So that's why I hadn't bought a dress.

I found the most perfect dress. It was a flowy pale pink gown. It made my olive skin pop, which was great. It had a side slit that allowed me to show off my legs and shoes. A halter bodice adorned with floral lace appliques over sheer mesh fabric, with a low cut v-neckline and an open back design. It was the perfect blend between sexy, flirty and cute. I couldn't wait to wear it. All of my friends and I were getting ready at my place. I already had every possible tool you could ever imagine out on the bathroom counter. So that each one of us could style our hair as we'd pleased. I'd also lined up all of my makeup in another of the counters so that it was easier for us to see what we had to do our makeup. I was pretty sure that this night was going to be spectacular.

The boys were going to pick us up at my house. Jake told me that they had rented a limo so that we could all ride together. So the girls were going to arrive here at around 4 or 5 pm since prom started at 9. The boys would pick us up at that time, so that meant that we had around 4 hours to get ready. That was plenty of time, at least for me. I finished eating my lunch and then headed straight to go take a shower. I washed my hair, conditioned it, exfoliated my whole body so that it was super soft. I applied cream to all of my body so that it was hydrated and all of my skin was prepped for later on. By the time I was done, it was already 4 o'clock and Liv being her punctual self arrived at that time exactly. I quickly went to open the door for her and we both rushed up to my room. I had laid out 4 matching silk robes on my bed, so that we could change into them before getting ready. They would help us keep cool while getting ready and ensure our dresses wouldn't get stained or anything during the process.

"Oh my god, these are so cute!" Liv exclaimed when she saw them.

"I know, I know. I had them custom made so that we could all get ready in matching robes!" I told her.

"We definitely need to take pictures in them."

"Of course, we'll just have to wait for Aubrey and Massie." Right then the doorbell rang, which meant that they were already here.

"Coming." I hollered as I raced down the stairs. I opened the door for them and there they were, holding their dresses so that they wouldn't touch the floor and get dirty. "Come on in." I told them as the followed me inside.

"Look at the robes, aren't they so cute?" Liv exclaimed as soon as they walked through my bedroom door.

"Oh my god, they are!" They responded in unison.

"Let's all get changed into them, and take some pictures before getting ready." Liv directed.

"Perfect." We all stripped down to our panties and bras. We'd seen each other in underwear a lot of times, too many to count. So it was no big deal at all. 5 minutes later we were all ready in our robes and started our mini photo sesh. It lasted for about 10 minutes, until we finally had a photo were we all liked. You know how hard it is taking pictures with other girls, they have to keep taking them until everyone is perfect.
