Chapter 5

It's been two weeks already since that awful Friday night at the bonfire. I still haven't told any of my friends about what really happened that night, specially not Liv, since she's still talking to Luke and she seems totally smitten by him. Tonight we're going to a party, a senior party, to be precise, one of Jake's friends is throwing it because his parents are out of town. Jake and I have been bumping into each other at school, exchanging a few words, but that's it.

"What do you think about this outfit?" I asked Liv. We were getting ready at my place this time and I wanted to look somewhat presentable.

"I like it, but I still think that skirt looked better with the crop top you tried it on with before."

"The pink one? Isn't it too revealing?"

"No, I think it's perfect. You should wear it" She responded while I ditched my current top and tried on the pink crop top again. It did look good with the black skater skirt I was wearing. Afterwards we started doing our makeup, I went for a simple and neutral look in pink tones, while Liv went all out with bold smoky eyes. An hour and a half passed and Aubrey and Massie came to pick us up.

"Hurry up bitches." Aubrey called from behind the wheel.

"We're walking as fast as we can in these heels, stupid." Liv responded as we reached the car.

"So, is Luke going to be there tonight?" Massie asked Liv. Fuck, I hope he wasn't going, because him and Tyler were a package deal, where one went, the other one followed.

"Yeah, I invited him over tonight." Liv admitted. I began to get uneasy, I wasn't going to enjoy this party at all.

The guy who was throwing the party was called Liam, he was also part of the Football team and one of Jake's closest friends. Liam's house was way up in the hill, it took us a good 30 minutes to get there from my place. We finally arrived and I silently prayed that Luke and Tyler weren't there as we entered the party.

It was packed, there were people everywhere. We made our way over to the far back of the house and greeted a bunch of people on our way there. There was no sign of Tyler nor Luke yet, phew. I did spot Jake surrounded by a group of cheerleaders, shocker. I just shaked my head as I passed by him, he just shrugged back, in a what can I do about it, I'm just so hot kind of way.

"Hey, how you've been?" Liam suddenly stopped us, grabbing me by the arm and asked. I guess he wanted to say hi to everyone, with him being the host and all.

"I'm great thanks." Aubrey answered.

"Yeah me, too." Massie and Liv chimed in.

"What about you Emily?" Liam inquired.

"I'm doing good thanks, it's a really great party."

"Oh, well thank you." He responded, still holding my arm, well more like caressing it. "Would you like to come dance with me?" He asked shyly.

"Sure, I'll catch up with you later guys" I said as I waved at my friends while Liam led me to the dance floor. If you could call it that, it was just a space with no furniture and everyone was just dancing and twerking there. Liam and I started dancing to the beat of the song, it was this song I really liked by Zedd, The Middle I think it was called. Liam started getting closer and closer to me, eventually my back was pressed against his chest and he grabbed me by the hips as we swayed to the rhythm. I was really having a good time, that is until I saw the shadow of a 6 foot something guy appear behind Liam. He suddenly let go of me and I turned around to see who was behind him. Great, it was Jake. Why was he such a cock-blocker, it seemed as if every single time a boy approached me, he would be there.
