His hugs were the best, I can assure you of that. He never had to say a word about it, nor beg me for one. From the good morning hugs, to the comforting hugs at my weakest points, and to the simplest random hugs when I am cooking food. His hugs were what made me whole and made my world go ‘round. What made them so special to me were not only the fact that they were from him but also just how he hugged me. He’d pull me close, without a single warning. Then he’d place my his hands on my back or waist as he held me closer and closer and closer to his body. I would feel his softness of his torso push against me. He felt so warm and comfortable, it  almost always sent shivers up my spine. We’d stand like that for a couple minutes, possibly ten. We’d do nothing but hold each other, we were nothing. We were just a couple morons in love. That didn’t matter to me though. All I needed was his dimples to rise up on his cheeks, forming a smile from ear to ear and his comfort of being in his arms.

And suddenly, I felt whole again.
