cinco (part 2)

junhui and minghao walked silently next to each other, one of them occasionally taking a drink from their coffee. that was, until junhui broke the silence.

"so, minghao, tell me a little bit about this area," junhui asked, looking around at the trees and houses. minghao nodded, wiping his mouth before he started talking.

"well, it's quiet most of the time. when it rains, it's even more pleasant. it's just a lovely place to live, and i think you'll like it very much," minghao smiled, earning a huge smile from junhui.

"i'm sorry for wanting to hang out so soon," junhui said, pushing minghao to walk on the other side of him to keep him safe from cars. minghao blushed a little, really hoping junhui didn't notice it.

"no, it's fine, i don't mind. i was looking forward to hanging out with you anyway," minghao responded, looking over at the purple haired boy. minghao took note of his side profile, focusing on his cheekbones.

"really? what about kwan and vernon? do they know we're out?" junhui asked, looking over at minghao, who was still staring. junhui chuckled when minghao quickly looked away.

"yea, they know. i told vernon that we don't know when we'll get back," minghao awkwardly chuckled, running his hand through his hair. junhui sighed a little, finding the younger's actions really cute.

"what animals do you wanna see first?" junhui asked, seeing the sign for the petting zoo in the distance.

"they have the cutest baby goats, can we see those first?" minghao asked, his eyes lighting up at the mention of the goats.

"of course we can see the goats," junhui responded, reaching out as if to touch minghao but then he pulled back. minghao noticed, he found it a little cute. he wanted to tell junhui it's okay, but he was too afraid of saying it.

"what's your favorite animal, jun?" minghao asked, using the little nickname he created for junhui.

"ah, i love jellyfish. they're just so beautiful," junhui sighed, and minghao could tell he really wanted to see some jellyfish.

"we can go to the aquarium first if you want to see the jellyfish. we can spend the whole time there if you want," minghao suggested, stopping to face junhui. junhui shook his head. he planned to go to the petting zoo with minghao, and he was sticking to it.

"we planned to go to the petting zoo, and i'm sticking to that plan," junhui said, crossing his arms playfully. minghao crossed his, too, mocking junhui.

"but i don't want you to wait because of me," minghao responded, raising an eyebrow at junhui. junhui uncrossed his arms, suddenly looking sad.

"hao, stop. stop thinking like that," junhui said, his voice a little stern. minghao dropped his arms after he said that.

"let's just go to the aquarium," minghao said, leading junhui in the direction of the aquarium. junhui knew this boy was going to be a pain the ass, but he was willing to do anything to be close to him.

"sunshine, wait up," junhui called, running up next to minghao. minghao was playing with the coffee cup; he still hasn't finished it.

"i'm sorry," minghao said, facing junhui a little bit. junhui pouted, minghao didn't need to say sorry.

"why? you did nothing wrong," junhui asked, searching minghao's face. he looked tired, like he's not getting enough sleep.

"i did, i became annoying again. i'm sorry you have to see this side of me," minghao sighed, sitting down on the curb. junhui quickly sat next to him so their shoulders were touching.

"listen, you aren't annoying. i want to be around you, i like having you around. you need to stop with all this negativity," junhui said, really wanting to grab minghao's hand, but he restrained himself.

"even though i..." minghao trailed off, but junhui knew exactly what he's talking about.

"i don't care about that. you're minghao, a very special minghao, and that's what i like. now, lets go pet those goats of yours," junhui stood up, offering his hand to minghao. minghao blushed, grabbing it. when junhui tried to let go, minghao didn't let him.

"can i just hold your hand for a little?" minghao asked, not looking at junhui out of embarrassment. junhui chuckled, tightening his grip on minghao's hands. minghao could feel his heart racing, but he didn't care.

"your hands are really soft, sunshine," junhui said, lowkey trying to flirt but also just being nice. he looked over and saw that minghao was blushing.

"thank you. what do you want me to call you? i like calling you junnie," minghao said, chuckling a little.

"i like that. i like that a lot."
