"you weren't lying when you said you really love goats," junhui said as he sat next to minghao. minghao had a baby goat laying on his lap; it was asleep.

"she's so cute," minghao mumbled, rubbing the kid's head. junhui looked at minghao fondly, can't believing someone could be so damn cute.

"we have more goats in the back if you want to visit those, ma'am," a lady told minghao, which broke junhui's heart.

"thanks," was all minghao said before he urged the little goat off of him. junhui, without really thinking, grabbed minghao's hands.

"you alright," junhui asked, holding his hands tightly. minghao just nodded, but junhui could see that his eyes were watery.

"come here, you. don't listen to them," junhui hushed, pulling minghao into a hug. minghao apparently really needed one, he held onto junhui tightly.

"why don't i pass damn it," minghao sighed, head resting on junhui's chest. junhui looked down at the younger boy, not believing his ears.

"what are you saying? you looked so much like a boy, because you are. you are the best boy out there, don't let others tell you you aren't," junhui smiled, causing minghao to chuckle. minghao hugged him gently, wanting to hold the older close.

"how about we skip the aquarium and go get that ice cream," junhui suggested, hands on minghao's shoulders.

"but what about you? you wanted to see the jellyfish," minghao asked, eyebrows furrowed together. 

"don't worry, i've seen them enough times. i want to see you happy, alright? i know it must've hurt a whole damn lot, being misgendered. so i just want to see you happy," junhui sighed, arms falling to his side. 

minghao couldn't believe what junhui just said. this is the first time they've hung out and he feels so close to the older boy. and that's what minghao likes about him.

"you sure," was all minghao asked, he didn't really know how to respond.

"positive. let's go," junhui said, motioning for minghao to lead the way. as minghao walked past junhui, he grabbed the elder's hand.

"sorry, i just like holding your hand," minghao rushed out, his ears going red. junhui sighed, completely in awe with the young boy next to him.

"don't apologize, you can hold my hand whenever you want," junhui responded, heart skipping a beat as minghao smiled at him.

"just, i've never had this kind of, i don't know, friendship? sure, i've cuddled with my friends, but they all are in relationships, so it feels wrong. so, if i'm clingy with you, i'm sorry," minghao rambled as they walked out of the zoo.

it was true, joshua and jeonghan would cuddle him until he fell asleep, but minghao felt wrong. he didn't feel like it was right. and he's cuddled with vernon, but now, it's going to feel different. now that vernon's dating seungkwan.

"stop apologizing, i really don't mind. if you ever, and i mean ever, just need someone to cuddle with, i'm your man," junhui laughed, causing minghao to cutely shake his head.

"so you don't care about who i really am," minghao asked, looking up at junhui.

"minghao, listen to me, and listen good. who you really are is minghao. you really are a very handsome boy who has the cutest smile and the prettiest eyes. i like you for who you are, not for what others say you are. you're a boy, okay? nothing else, besides human," junhui said, cupping the sides of minghao's face gently.

minghao literally couldn't hold back his smile. he smiled so brightly his cheeks hurt. it's the widest and brightest he has smiled in a long time. and it also caused junhui to smile, which made everything 100x better.

"and you, jun, are extremely handsome yourself," minghao said back, feeling triumphant when junhui blushed.

"let's go get that ice cream," junhui said, grabbing hold of minghao's hand again, already feeling things for the boy he just met. and minghao was feeling the same thing.
