chapter zero
She chewed on her bottom lip becoming troubled as the blank canvas had been eating away at her mind.
Not being able to find the inspiration or motivation towards lifting the brush and making art that represented her own mindset.
Surrounding her was ripped up paintings the were all over the floor, almost covering every inch of the carpet.
Huffing as she shifted her golden amber eyes that almost looked like sweet honey that drizzled within a caramel undertone. The letter sitting upon her window ledge half open confirmed her future that she was destined to be under.
The pressure of having to start over seemed to stress her out even more than she wanted it to. Hearing a knock made her turn around to see the woman who gave her life.
"why am I not surprised that your still awake," Her mother's soft voice held concern but tried to keep it hidden under her gentle voice. Realising her mother's words made her gaze fall to the window where she could see her neighbor hood, lights were still on making the houses look alive with movement.
"Looks like time slipped away from my grasp once again." she spoke so quietly it could have sounded like nothing. Bringing her gaze up to stare at the dark sky that gave away the loss of time. She wondered why she didn't know the people around her in those houses yet.
"Ro, you need to get some sleep, your first day at U. A is tomorrow." her mother told her as if she was unaware or as if her mother hadn't have told her a million times.
"I know,"A small smile was presented on her lips but only for her mothers sake, at least she could paint over the truth with a convicing smile that hid to many lies for herself to count.
However the white lie, allowed her space as her mother had soon left the room leaving her to sigh. Glancing at her new uniform hanging up as she stood up and sat in her thinking spot which looked over the whole neighbourhood with the letter in her hand
"What did you get yourself into, aurora." her own name sounded foriegn to her, she wondered about the secrets and personal detail she had to keep or think about.
Feeling a weight in a lap she looked down to see her black cat making her smile as he purred in her lap. "Oh Kygo, what should I do?" The cat just pushed its head into her hand then took the letter in its mouth. "I'm taking advice from a cat...huh."
