Chapter 1

Twelve years later...

I peered over the rocks of my favorite mountain, Mount. Caspar. I smiled. I could see the entire village from here. I sighed happily. "Djalala," My friend, Zanella, began as she looked over the mountain with me. "Wherever did you find this spot?" I shrugged and looked up into the dark sky, well it would be dark, but here we have four moons, they are all in a crescent shape at the moment.

Our world was so peaceful and beautiful. Outsiders sometimes come here to relax. "I was walking around and decided to come to this spot." I answered her. She stood up and so did I.

"Well we best be getting home." I nodded in agreement. We walked back down the mountain in silence. I always come here to be alone and to look over the mountain to see the village lit up with a faint orange glow from lanterns at night.

I glanced over at Zanella. She had natural snow white skin, like the rest of us, she had pale brown eyes that almost blended with the whites in her eyes, a perky nose, full pale pink lips, fare blonde hair that reached down to the small in her back, and a few freckles on one side of her face. She was short for her age and she was skinny, like the rest of us.

She glanced over at me and smiled as she pulled up her light blue denim jacket. She and I were only twelve years old. "Djalala, Zanella wherever have you been?" My mother asked as we entered the village.

"Sorry mother dear, we were just up on Mount. Caspar." I said curtseying, it was a sign of respect to our elders. My long plain white dress flowed in a small gust of wind. When I let go of the dress it covered my ankles. My white sandals sparkled when a light hit them just right. The dress covered my neck like a turtle neck and the sleeves went down to my wrists and hugged my arms tightly.

"We received a message that was sent from the Specials. They were requesting to come and they want to see you, Djalala. So you and I are going to meet them." I tensed. The Specials were from the outer rim of the Dark sector in space. They all had abilities beyond belief. They protected every sector in space from the Deathshadow. The Deathshadow are the same as the Specials except evil and they want to take over the universe. Our sector was called the 'Ghiaccio' Sector because it is cold compared to other areas.

I nodded and Zanella and I said our goodbyes and my mother and I walked off to the landing patch that was about ten meters away from the village. Snow began to fall from the sky. I held out a hand and caught a flake, it melted after a few minuets.

"Mother dear?" I asked.

"Yes, Djalala?" She murmured looking at the sky.

"Why are snow flakes so different from each other but all the same, and why does their beauty fade so quickly?" She chuckled.

"I don't know Djalala." She smiled softly. She had long black hair that went down to her waist, pale pink eyes that almost blended with the whites in her eyes, the snow white skin, pale red lips, a perky nose, and a oval shaped face.

We reached the landing patch and waited for the shuttle to land, I have never been up close to one before. Suddenly a soft sound erupted from the sky as the shuttle neared. It wasn't loud at all. It was light grey, dark grey, and had spots of black everywhere. It was about as big as two large huts in our village, a LOT larger than the other shuttles. The door dropped down to from a ramp.

A man along with two other young boys walked off. "You must be Yokaria." The man greeted my mother and bowed respectfully. The young boys did the same. Then the man turned to me. "And you must be Djalala." He bowed again, the teenage boys did the same. The man had a masculine figure, brown short hair, peach skin, rectangular face shape, and dark blue eyes. He smiled at me.
