Ellie's POV
we needed weapons and meds so me and Joel volunteered to go on a supply run for them he was against it at first but i convinced him. me and Joel are going to head out tomorrow.
-The next day
Joel said to wait for him by the car and so I'm just leaning against the truck then Jake walks up to me
"Whats up El"
"I'm going on a supply run with joel"
"Be carful ok "
"always am "
he gives me a hug then walks away
"ready to go" Joel asks a few minutes later
"yep"
we both get into the truck and head into town according to tommy no one has gone to town for a while and there was once a military base that was hardly looted. we got there in a half hour because we left the truck half a mile away so we wouldn't alert any zombies.
"hey Joel ill check that Rite-Aid over there you check around for a weapon store across the street ok"
"yell if you need me"
"you do the same then"
"ok"
so we head our separate ways and i walk to the front doors and peer through the glass i don't see anyone or anything so i head in.
"Ding Dong" rings through the store as i open the door
"shit"i mutter to myself
i wait to see if any thing comes at me... nothing does so i make my way through the store picking up batteries cough medicine pain meds stuff thats just sitting around as i make my way to the pharmacy counter when i get there i see all the gates to go into the pharmacy closed and i walk to the office and i check the door but its locked so i walk back to the gates and see one open enough for me to be able to squeeze through. once i make it to the other side i hear groaning and see a runner standing in the corner wearing a once white lab coat he must have worked here. why hasn't he become a clicker or bloater? maybe he lasted longer here.
I push that out of my mind as i sneak up behind it and kill it then i go through all the isles as i search for the stuff on the list that tommy gave me and after about 15 minutes i have completed the whole list.
"Ding Dong" who just opened the door maybe its Joel i peek over the counter.
