Jakes POV
I saw Ellie's lips move but I didn't hear what she said. As soon as the words where out of her mouth she ran dodging a few if the men as she went out the door. Then everything went black...
Ellie's POV
As I went out the door I ran into a few more if the men but they didn't see me. I dodged out of sight and headed towards the town. When I got back I was covered in sweat and out of breath. The first thing I did was find Joel. I told him everything that had happened.
Joel's POV
When Ellie told me what had happened my first thought was to get Jake back. Whenever she's around him her smile is genuine not the fake one the world sees. I know what she used to do to herself but since she met him she seemed to stop or at least do it less often. And I was thankful for it so I had to get him back.
