I bit nervously at my nails as I led Niall down the hall. He was non-too happy when I woke him up this morning with no explanation and I fear he's beginning to get suspicious. I can feel his eyes burning into my back side, calculating my every move. But if I'm going to pull this off I need to act natural so after finally reaching the door to lead us into the Great Room I take a deep breath, turning to a pouting Niall.

"Okay Niall, I need you stay here while I um check on something alright? Promise me you won't move." I cringed at how nervous my voice sounded, I needed to get a grip. Immediately Niall's frown deepened.

"What? But why-"

"Promise me." I commanded, and judging by the way Niall flinched away from me I'm guessing it came out a bit too harsh. I didn't mean to scare him, honest I didn't, I just need to be sure that he's safely hidden while I deal with our guest.

"Okay." Niall begins to draw into himself again and I mentally curse myself for being so insensitive.

"Niall, angel, you know I didn't mean to-" I begin to apologize.

"S'fine Harry, just hurry up so we can leave this place." He states curtly without looking at me once. I sighed in defeat and turned to open the door but not before giving Niall a last glance. His shoulders were hunched away from me, giving away his obvious anger, while his face lacked any emotion.

"I'll be right back." I said quietly, hoping he would hear me above the noise I knew was filling his head.

I made my way through the hall commanding everyone to leave. No one was to know what was going on here except for the guards, my father, my friends and myself. This castle had plenty of gossipers and God forbid Niall hear anything from the other servants. Once the room was clear of any busy bodies I motioned the guards to open the palace doors. My heart hammered nervously in my chest as light poured in slowly. This was it. I was going to face Nialls demons head on for the first time. Finally my eyes adjusted to the light as a lone figure stepped over the threshold, immediately flanked by guards. I kept my face neutral as he approached me, mentally shaking off my argument with Niall.

"Your majesty." The man before me spoke while bowing rather ungracefully in an almost mocking gesture. His voice had the same affect as nails on a chalkboard and I was proud of the way I hadn't physically shuddered no matter how strong the urge. His eyes were black as night, same as his greasy hair save for the smattering of grey. He was dressed in what was probably his best attire although it was nothing more than a ratty suit and when he smiled, which was more of a sneer, his teeth were almost pointy. He was for lack of a better word, disgusting, and the mere thought of this mans slimy fingers going anywhere near my Niall made my stomach lurch. I breathed in deeply to hide my growing anger before giving the creature a short nod. I then turned to one of the doors and led the way to the throne room, never once looking back.

My father stood as we came through the door. His eyes narrowed at me, gauging me, before flitting to the vial man behind me. I recognized the distaste in his features immediately.

"Your majesty." The man says again giving the same, unauthentic bow.

"Welcome to my home," my father states with a twinge of sarcasm, "Mr...?"

"Lux. Theodore Lux."

"Right. Well Mr. Lux what seems to be the issue."

"You bought my servant a couple months ago in a trade. Niall? Blonde hair, blue eyes, a bit on the small side-"

"I'm aware of who the boy is but not your point. State the issue." I almost smiled if the situation wasn't so dire.

"Well your majesty, I would like him back." The man says rudely. My father raised an eyebrow before answering.
