Stars

   "Why do you fear the stars?",Lila had questioned Noah with her eyes full of wonder.
   "I guess I never really thought about" Noah explained watching the firefly that had landed on the cool grass next to him. Noah thought about the question as he listened to Lila talk passionately about the meteors zipping by.
   "Maybe", Noah began, "Maybe I fear them because they are light years away or perhaps because they seem so much smaller from Earth. It may even be that they are so beautiful but incredibly dangerous to touch." Lila was hypnotized listening to him explain just staring at his sparkling hazel eyes.
   Noah continued," but not a single star in the sky is more brilliant or beautiful than you my sunshine, fore without my sun how could I possibly survive."
   Lila reached out on the blanket they lie on and intertwined her fingers with Noah's. They sat in a comfortable silence, watching in wonder as the bright streaks shot across the sky. There is no place they would rather be.
