Every story starts somewhere. Good or bad. Princess or Prince, Vk or not. No matter who you are, we all have things leading us, making us who we are. You are reading this, you are the person in this. Real or not, this is your story, your beginning....

"Mal, give it back!" I yelled chasing said girl. "This isn't funny!"

"Good, I'm not tying to be!" She laughed.

Mal had come into our house and stole one thing. My favorite book, the only one like it on the Isle. We had an ongoing rivalry since Mal made her mom ban us when we were six. Evie and Mal started getting along last year but it didn't change for me. I still hated the purple haired girl and nothing would change it. "Mal, stop! C'mon!"

Suddenly she tripped and my book went flying. Right before it could land in a mud puddle it was saved but one of my best friends, Harry Hook. "Mal, give the gal a break. Stop robbing her and find someone else." Mal stuck her tounge out and ran off. Harry handed me the book and we started talking.

"Why's that book so important to ya anyways?" He asked. "And how do you even pronounce it?"

"It's called Utopia." I replied. "It's the only one here on the Isle and it's my favorite book!"

He shugged and we started walking to Uma's place. I never understood why Evie liked hanging out with Mal over my crew. Then again she likes "royalty" more, but Mal was far from that.

~~~Evie's pov~~~
"She's so easy to mess with!" Mal said walking to Jay, Carlos, and I. "Mal could you stop bugging my sister?" It was hard to watch (Y/n) get bullied. Mal looked to be contemplating it. "Nah."
We all ran off to our hide out. Jay asked me why I couldn't get (Y/n) on our team. "She and Mal still hate each other." I whispered. "They refuse to get along." Jay nodded and we sat down.
"We need to strike Uma and her crew!" Mal said shocking us. "They're trying to take our territory!" We all started putting in how we should (ending with Mal hating every idea).
A while later she found one she liked.
~~~3rd person pov~~~

(Twelve years ago)

Four year old twins, (Y/n) and Evie, were sitting in front of their mom as she explained how to be a proper princess. Evie was leaning forward fascinated as (y/n) was bored. The sisters got along fairly well, but were incredibly different.

Evie loved anything princess. She dreamed of being one, and all the wonders. Dresses and skirts were always a yes. Tiaras and gems were her favorite things. "Blue and pink are the best colors." She'd exclaim. Everyone knew of the girl.

(Y/n) on the other hand was anything but a princess. She dreamed of being free and no rules. Pants and bandanas were her thing. She would compromise to make her sister happy, but others you couldn't get her in a dress. Blacks and blues were her thing. She was known as the mischievous twin.

At age six, Maleficent banned them to the other side of the Isle. Evie continued her princess lessons as (y/n) snuck out to get things for her mom or met up with friends. The twins started relying on each other and became close, only one thing separated them....

When the girls reached sixteen the banishment was over. Evie started going to Dragon Hall and became frenemies with Mal. Jay and Carlos joined their group and soon they were some of the most feared people on the Isle. Causing trouble, making messes, no one could escape them.
(Y/n) on the other hand convinced her mom to let her go to Serpent Prep. After some convincing she was aloud. When (Y/n) went, she already knew Uma and Harry so they got closer. All the pirates knew them, and fights begun. Soon the rivalry between Uma and Mal spun out of control.

Mal decided to pick on (Y/n) since she was on Uma's team. Evie hated it but refused to leave her friends. The sisters were able to leave problems out of the home but it hurt them. Every fight, every moment. The sisters stayed close, but they struggled.

You've read most of what's happened, but what's to come? Find out in the next book.
