CHAPTER ONE

Ahh, don't we all love vacations? Though summer break aren't always the same. Like don't all of us plan what our summer is gonna be like? But let's be honest it never works out the way we plan (unless your parents planned something with you). So we are in the examination hall and.... It's history paper.... so yeah not like I studied just the night before right? Yeah, no I TOTALLY studied a long time ago. *insert the smiley face with sweat drop emoji*. so I'm totally failing history cause duh I'm thinking about summer plans like come on, summer is only 28days 51minutes and....let's see.... 31seconds away? I've got to plan! I too want to have an instagramable summer I HAVE to make everyone "J". and yes I have already started thinking on ways to ask Alex out. Oh come on I don't want to be the only badass girl in high school without any boyfriend! People are gonna think I'm a dork. Well I guess I am a dork. but still. You get the point.

Also he does have a really close cousin who is my best friend so I did think of asking her how to take Alex out but she is the kind of girl you don't want to share secrets with. So I had an amazing idea! How bout a sleep over? Yeah? Sounds good to me! I mean Alex and I are pretty good friends but just not that close enough. At the sleep over we will have loud music, chips, candy, pasta and definitely pizza cause it is his favourite duh! After that we are going to watch a movie and probably talk for hours. Also no plans of sleeping like, cmon you know how this works. The person who sleeps, gets pranked upon. Shit dude I'm in an exam hall! LYRA FOCUS.FOCUS. OKAY 30 MINUTES LEFT you've got this. *bell rings* phew! All done . So basically this is how all my exams went. On the last day of school, I was extremely happy. I decided to talk to Alex and his close cousin Amaya for the sleepover plan. And.... things didn't go quite well... that stupid girl Sasha, their best friend from kindergarten had already asked them to come over on the same day as I wanted to. Lyra you can postpone it right, you ask. NO cause they are leaving for Paris two days later. F*(k !!! The thing is she invited literally half of 8th grade(she didn't invite me by the way). So I have no chance.

 Great Lyra didn't you realise you jinxed this plan way too much? And also did you even realise that you have bad luck? You too knew this isn't the first time its happened. Remember that? *flash back to a year ago* Yess! I am finally 13!! Wohoooo!! My party is going to be the best party ever!! Plus it is at Play arena so who isn't going to come? *two hours later* news guy-"Flashing news! After 22 years this is the first time  had an earthquake!..." WHAT EVEN???? Also thanks to everyone who didn't come to my party I definitely didn't cry the rivers out. And that place costs an arm and a leg. Later on that day I met 'the Mean girl' Mija and said hi. Damn I regret that. She came to me and said "Oh hi there goth! Having fun with an earthquake on your birthday? later bi*ch" Yeah she didn't just add an insult to an injury. But okay what did I expect from her anyways? like shed come to me and say, "Hi Lyra what's up? Wanna hangout?" NO dude. *come back to current time*Dreams are meant to be destroyed. Wishing on your eyelash and blowing it off doesn't always work. And checking your zodiac signs NEVER works(well, at least not for me). *sobbs* but why can't all this end on an positive note? {future Lyra}- cause. You are just a-a-a whatever! So yeah when they told me about them going to Sasha's sleepover I was like okay...*trying to hide them tears* I go to the lunch hall and I cry my heart out (yes I know I'm a cry baby) I didn't want anyone to know so I just kept my hands criss-cross on the table and put my head down. I really expected someone to come and ask me if I was okay but no, people thought I was just sleeping. *exhales heavily* and that's how school ended.

 While I was going to my bus, Alex came up to me and said "hey Lyra! So what's your plans after reaching home?". I was confused for a second because usually he only talks to me in class. Or asks about group projects and stuff. So before I could reply to him he points his finger at my eyes and is like "Woah Lyra your eyes are red! Are you fine?" and in my head I was like " Shit I hope he doesn't realise I was crying" then I was like, "no that actually might be nice" so I was going to say "nah, I'm alright" but he cut me once again and said "I think you rubbed your eyes too hard" really Alex? Whatever. I just told him that something went inside my eyes so I kinda rubbed it hard. Honestly I was soooo pissed. "Oh yeah, Lyra.. uh-uhmm I just wanted to apologise for not being able to come for that sleepover you were planning but we can definitely meet on..." he said. And damn I was excited and waiting for him to let me know when, but then, "HEY ALEX THE BUS IS LEAVING COME ON WE HAVE TO GO" yelled one of his team mates. "Uhg anyways I'll catch you later. Bye!" exclaimed Alex "Hey when are we going to meet though?" I asked eagerly and he said...
