The Reunion

Dipper and Mable started making their way towards the Mystery Shack. Mable turned to her brother and exclaimed "I bet you can't get there before me!" then started moving quickly to her destination. But Dipper, unlike his twin, was not laden with seven different bags. Although he was not weighed down, Dipper made it to the door only seconds before his sister. Mable stumbled onto the porch, and hugged her twin roughly from behind. Dipper looked back at his sister slightly nervous, but exited. Mable nodded and Dipper proceeded to knock on the door. The twins heard the voice of a small child saying "I'll get it!" and then running to open the door. When it opened, a young girl about the age of four with shoulder length light brown hair, and bright green eyes stood in the doorway looking up at the twins. She was clearly confused and seemed unsure of what to to. The girl yelled "Daddy there are people here!" before running into the back of the house while leaving the door open. Dipper and Mable had hardly been able to process what happened before they heard a familiar voice shout "Dudes!". They were then tackled to the ground by a man in a question mark shirt. The twins and Soos fell onto the grass, laughing. Once all three of them had gotten up and brushed themselves off, they went inside and sat at the dining room table. "Why didn't you tell me you were coming?!" Soos said, happy to see his friends again. "We wanted to keep it a surprise." Dipper responded, laughing at the grin on Mable's face. Melody walked into the room with the small girl from earlier hiding behind her back. Melody smiled at the twins and said "It's so good to see you guys, you are so grown up now!" She then sat down at the table next to Soos. The little girl walked over and pulled on Melody's pant leg. "Mommy who are they?" the girl, whose name was Aria, asked. "I knew you guys got married but I didn't know you had a kid!" Mable squealed. "Two actually" Melody said casually, gesturing towards her stomach. The group talked animatedly for hours. Finally the light talk was interrupted by Dipper asking "Is it okay if we stay with you over the summer?" The couple quickly agreed as it has been so long since Dipper and Mable stayed in Gravity Falls. The twins each went to their appointed rooms for the summer and started unpacking. Dipper would be staying in the bedroom where the body switching carpet used to be, and Mable would stay in the attic. Once Dipper finished his unpacking, it was already 9:34 pm. He decided that he would go for a walk in the woods to finish off the day before he went to bed. Dipper grabbed his phone, told Soos were he was going, then left the shack. It was peaceful outside. It was dusk and there was a light breeze that ruffled Dipper's already messy hair. The feeling of oncoming rain was in the air. Dipper walked into the forest the smell of pine and wood filling his senses. It's so good to be back, Dipper thought to himself. His mind was clear and he was truly enjoying himself. Or at least he was untill the landscape suddenly turned the monochrome white, black, and grey that Dipper was all too familiar with. He started to panic, and even more so when he heard a voice that he hoped would never be able to speak again.
