Allison's POV

Today's the big day. The last day of Boston, Massachusetts. I'm sure going to miss it. After all I've lived here my whole life. All my precious memories are here. I still can't believe I'm moving. My parents want me to walk around the town one last time before we leave.

Our plane is leaving tomorrow at 2 in the morning. It's going to be tiring tomorrow. But here's the thing. My parents said I could either go with them to Wyoming, or I could live with my aunt Savannah in Chelsea, Massachusetts which is only 14 minutes from here. But I would go to a different school district if I move with her. I'm just confused right now. I just want everything to go back to normal.

As I'm walking down my favorite trail I hear a familiar voice call out to me.

" Ali. Wait! "

Once I turn around I see them blue eyes, golden hair, and freckles. How could she have the nerve to show up after she didn't tell me that.

" What," I spat at her as I turned around.

"Look I didn't mean to keep that from you it's just your parents didn't want me telling you and it's kind of hard because if I did they said I would never be able to see you again and I don't want that."

"But when we were little we promised whenever something like that came up we would tell each other," I said heartbroken.

"I know and I'm so sorry about that," she said to me. "Look could we just pretend it never happened."

"Yeah," I said doubtfully.

"Friends?"

"Friends," I said to her. "Look I should probably get going we're going to be leaving soon."

"Ok bye Ali," she said with tears in her eyes.

"Bye Lila," I said to her choking back my tears.

When I was walking back home it's like all the memories just flooded my mind. I remembered when we first met. We were just in first grade and she was the new girl.

~Flashback~

"Hey can I sit here,"six year old Lila said.

"Yeah sure," I said with a smile on her face.

"I'm new here. I just came last week."

"Nice to meet you," I said to her.

"Nice to meet you too," little Lila said to me.

"I'm Allison but everyone calls me Al or Ali."

"I'm Lila."

~Flashback over~

I remember that day like it was just yesterday. Sometimes I wish it was still like those times. I had just arrived home and saw everything in boxes. Wow everything looks so different.

"MOM, WHAT TIME IS IT," I asked her worried if we were going to be leaving soon. I'm just not ready to leave yet.

"4:45. Why are you worried about it?," she asked me.

"No reason."

" By the way Ali we are going to be leaving the house at 3 tomorrow so make sure u are up and ready," my mother said to me.

"Ok," I responded to her.

I walk into my room to see nothing left but the cream paint chips on the wall from the aging of the paint. I sure am going to miss it here. I grew up in this house and I'm going to be leaving it behind tomorrow at 3. Maybe I should start thinking positive about moving. But there's nothing positive about moving.  I grab my phone off the ledge or my window and check the time. It's 5:30 and only a few more hours until I saw goodbye. Maybe a nap will help ease my mind a bit.

I decided to lay down on the floor with a blanket and pillow since everything is packed away. I soon fall into a deep sleep and dream about what the next day will be like.
