Chapter 24
Bridezilla
Frustrating. The whole thing was frustrating. Flowers were still undelivered; the venue was still not set; Jesse couldn't seem to find a Priest who accepts that same-sex marriage, is now legal in America. And the rehearsals... God, the rehearsal frustrates Beca to no end.
Despite of Chloe's help here and there, Beca just couldn't seem to agree with one arrangement or the other.
"No, light blue doesn't match the lighting..." Beca rubbed her temple as she looked up at the grand chandelier in the reception hall,"Navy... Change it to navy blue." The assistants there quickly moved to change the table dressing, having seen Beca's wrath when commanding in the hall.
While near the stage, setting up the band instruments, Eloise snorted as she watched Beca look at how close silver is to white gold,"Jesus, Bree... And here I thought Chloe would be the one who'd turn into the bridezilla."
Aubrey and Emily chuckled behind her, leaving their work for a moment to watch Beca order a bunch of poor employees around with an iron fist,"She had that poor frail guy by the door change the hall drapes about seven times now cause the color doesn't match up to the lighting and that the design doesn't go with the decor inside." Aubrey informed her fiancee and snickered when a guy with a trolley of wine glasses filled with wine, cautiously approached Beca,"Another poor victim."
"Imagine when the flowers Chloe picked comes in."Emily's eyes widened and she heard Aubrey and Eloise choke on air when Beca's menacing glare turned towards them,"Back to work! Back to work!" They scrambled to pick the first thing in sight and feigned checking for any damage.
So yes, to some up the past two months, Beca had been burying herself onto stress, her fiancee just chuckling as she rubs Beca's back, amused as she watched the brunette stress over who to invite.
"Do you think Panic! At the Disco accepts to sing in weddings?" Beca had thought outloud as she stared at the guest list,"Or maybe we should invite the Boyce Avenue?"
"Whatever makes you happy, dear," Chloe cooed, making Beca grunt at the new endearment, but smiled nonetheless when Chloe offered a kiss as consolation.
Everything was working out perfectly well; the rehearsal was coming up; the whole room looked lovely now; the venue was taken to their mansion at Thornwood Hill and the place looked magnificent then, what else now?
But then... Then the flowers arrived. An arrangement of assorted flowers that were so assorted it looked like a messed up rainbow when entered into the room of navy blues and dim orange elegant light. It was like mixing the well-dressed Paul Fieg with a hippie in one room that consisted of a table and two chairs only.
"What is this?" Beca was paralyzed on the spot as she watched the florist's men bring in the in elegant transparent vases, her expression was completely horrified.
"The flowers we ordered like... months ago," Chloe told Beca like the brunette should've known this, for which she did know it was coming, only that she didn't know was:
"But its rainbow!"
Chloe looked confused,"Yeah... Like... I told you I want to get hold of something for the wedding when you went all dictator-like and told me you'd take care of it," The redhead now looked worried when all Beca did was walk out of the room and into the wide garden outside.
The backyard was beautiful, set to be where they tell their vows, just next to Cupid's fountain. But Beca led them away from that and into the woods, stopping under the shade of a massive willow tree.
