Who am I to stand in your way?

Part VI

Normani, CeCe and I all sit on the floor, trying to come up with a prank to do on Dinah. Every now and then we would think of an idea but then quickly think against it because it sounds boring and dull. After an hour of so I began to get restless and told the girls we should just do a prank another day.

"But Mila..." Normani drawled out. "You wanted to do one today."

I nod my head laughing and grab her hands gently. "Yeah, but pranking Dinah is something you need to plan out. She's going to come back strong so we need to make sure we take the only chance we have to get her, and get her good."

CeCe nods her head and leans against the bed. "Camila has a point there." I smile towards her. "Dinah loves pranking and will probably get us back ten times before we are even, so we have to make our only chance count."

"See!" I say loudly, "CeCe gets me."

Normani rolls her eyes and stands up. "Well can we do something interesting then? It's the weekend and we still got a couple days before live shows."

CeCe nods her head and stands next to Normani. "She's right. We've spent all this time planning for nothing. Let's go make something out of it."

I stand next to them and agree. Soon we are all walking down the stairs and each separate to find Dinah and Ally. Normani comes with me while we leave CeCe to find Ally. Seeing Dinah sitting on the couch I run and jump on top of her. Dinah screams loudly and pushes me off, causing me to fall into the floor. "Ow." I mumble as I rub my arms. She laughs and quickly pulls me into a hug. Squeezing her I ask, "want to go on an adventure with us?"

Dinah looks at me questionably. "I don't know if I trust you."

"No we are going on an adventure." Normani adds. "Ally and CeCe are coming too." She says smiling widely.

"Coming where?" Lauren says coming into the room. Normani looks at me but I look away. I know I can't invite everyone and not her, that would be mean. But I couldn't say I wasn't hoping she would find out.

"An adventure they are going on." Dinah says when she notices Normani not saying anything.

Lauren nods her head and looks towards me. "Am I invited this time?" She says annoyed from not being invited last time. I shrug my shoulders but Normani swings her arm around Lauren's shoulders.

"Of course you are." Lauren smiles widely at Normani but I can tell it's a fake smile.

I hurt her again.

But it's okay because she hurts me everyday. Right?

Pulling at Dinah's arms I lift her off the couch. "Let's go get CeCe and Ally and then we can go." I say smiling widely.

"Wait." Dinah says. She let's go of me and quickly rushes over to Normani. "Can I borrow that red sweater of yours?" Before Normani could respond Dinah was pulling her away.

Lauren and I stood in the room awkwardly, neither of us saying anything. I could tell many times she wanted to, as her mouth began to open but then she would shut it suddenly. Running my hand through my hair I allowed myself to look at her. Her green eyes were staring at the picture beside us while her hands played with the braclets around her wrist. She changed and now had a red crop top with black high waisted shorts. I trailed my eyes down her legs before looking back up at her. Eventually her eyes turned towards mine but neither of us said anything.

I felt as though we said so much to each other without speaking. She was obviously hurt and confused by my sudden need to ignore her. But I wondered if she could see the pain that showcased in my eyes.
