"How did you sleep last night?" Ron asked the next morning as I slowly made my way out of my room. I yawned, shrugging. "That bad? I woke up at some point and could have sworn I heard you awake."

"Yeah. I had a text that woke me up." I explained, walking passed Ron and into the kitchen to grab a glass of water. I could hear Hermione's soft snores coming from the guest room as Ron followed me into the kitchen.

"Was it...Was it Draco?" Ron inquired, worry evident on his face. I shook my head.

"Was a wrong number." I lied, smiling. "Nothing to worry about." Ron seemed to believe me and went on to the next subject.

"I know my life's a bit backwards and stuff, but when hasn't it." He started. I gave him a look, smirking. "Shut up and let me finish. "I want to ask Hermione to marry me while we're here in New York visiting you."

"It's about damn time, Ron. You two have been dating for nearly seven years. Personally, I'm surprised you didn't elope after I left Hogwarts." I laughed softly, hoping Hermione wouldn't wake up and spoil the surprise. Ron rolled his eyes.

"I know, personally I'm a bit surprised over that too. But in all honesty, I wasn't sure if I was marriage material. I mean, I'm a Weasley. We rarely ever move out of our parents house." He spoke with a joking edge, but I knew he wasn't kidding. Fred and George are well into life and only just recently moved out. "But once Hermione got pregnant, it got me to thinking. What am I waiting for, you know? I love Hermione Jean Granger, and nothing is going to change that. I was thinking you could have Alex show her around the city and you could help me look for the perfect ring." Ron had started to ramble, and I found it endearing.

"You wake her up, and I'll get Alex up." After I instructed, we split ways to wake up our significant others. I tiptoed into my room, where Alex lay half-conscious in bed.

"What's going on, Harry?" Alex yawned, making a move to get up. "Are you alright? I heard your phone at three this morning. It was Draco wasn't it." He frowned. I shook my head, smiling.

"No, don't worry. It was just a wrong number. Listen, I have a proposition for you." I smiled softly. "Ron and I want to catch up for a bit, is there any chance you can take Hermione sight-seeing? Would mean the world." I gave him a small pout, causing him to sigh with a smile.

"I would be delighted. Text me where you want us to meet up later?" He quickly kissed me and went to get dressed. In the other room, I could hear Hermione rustling around as well. Once they were gone, Ron and I got ready and set off to the best jewelry store in the area and looked for the perfect ring for Hermione Granger.

"Are you nervous?" I asked, watching Ron scramble through the store. Ron ignored me and kept scanning the aisles for the perfect ring. I followed silently, a smile on my face. It was sweet, seeing him frantically search for something to propose with. After nearly three jewelry stores and two hours, I had lost Ron in a department store's jewelry section.

"Fancy seeing you here, stranger." The voice sent a shiver down my spine. I whipped around to see Draco Malfoy standing in front of me. My breathing hitched and I shook my head to throw out the image. You're not real, I thought. I needed it to be true, but when I opened my eyes he still stood there smirking at me.

"Harry, there you-" Ron paused, eyes locking with Draco. "Let's go. Now." He reached out to wrap his hand around my forearm. Together we left the store. "Are you alright? Did he hurt you?" I silently shook my head, a frown etched onto my features. "Let's just go back to yours, we can ring shop another day."
