Dance The Night Away

Lily and Junjie sit on the chairs set opposite each other in the living room. An awkward, yet comfortable, silence falls between them. Brown optics gaze around the room, taking in the scenery of Eli's girlfriend's best friend and her home. However, Lily is avoiding eye contact with the newest member of the Shane gang, still mulling over her own thoughts.

"You have a nice home, quite small, but it's still rather nice," he voices. Lily nods in thanks as she continues to avoid eye contact. She silently hopes that Astrus will storm into her home like she used to do and help her to speak with the slinger. Junjie opens his mouth to speak, but is silenced when Jokul hops on her lap chirping frantically.

"I almost forgot!" she squeaks. She stands up and rushes off to her room. Jokul stares at Junjie, evaluating him. The slinger looks at the frostcrawler curiously. Lily returns dressed in black skinny jeans, a white tank top, fishnet gloves, light blue furry leg warmers, and black shoes with neon blue soles. Her lips are blue from lipstick and she has light blue eye shadow on. She has an eye patch on her right eye, which is only visible due to her having her bangs pinned back. Jokul chirps happily when he sees her and hops over to her. The frostcrawler perches on her shoulder and chirps, pointing at Junjie, and then at Lily. "That's a great idea!" She looks at Junjie also, "Would you like to come with me, Junjie?"

"Where exactly are we going if I do go with you?" he questions as he stands.

"I'm going to a club, it's really fun!" She smiles. "It's okay if you don't want to go, it is short notice."

Junjie is silent for a few seconds but nods in agreement. "If it is okay with you, I'd like to accompany you." Lily's smile widens and she hands him some neon glowing light sticks. He looks at them questionably, "What are these?"

"Glow sticks! Trust me, they make it even more fun!" She gently takes his hand in hers and leads him out of the door.

The two slingers entered a pitch black cavern where not even the Lumino ore was glowing. Lily stops and grabs the glow sticks that are around her neck and wrists. A snapping noise comes from the objects and they begin to glow different colors. The two that she had around her neck are a neon pink. The four on her wrists are neon blue and neon green. She looks at Junjie and offers her hand out for the two glow sticks she gave him before they left her home. He hands them to her and she snaps them just like she did hers. The two necklaces are different colors, just like Lily's, with one being red and the other being purple. With a skip in her step, Lily leads him deeper into the cavern where loud music is playing, causing the floor if the cavern to vibrate in sync with the beats.

"Since this is your first time here, stay close to me, okay?" Junjie nods and gently squeezes her smaller hand, incase she didn't see him nod. They enter the main center of the cavern where the music is loudest and everyone is dancing with the same glowing accessories as the two. Lily drags Junjie down to where the dance floor is.

"What do you think?" she yells over the music so he can hear her.

"I've never seen anything quite like his before," he replies. Lily grins and starts to dance along to the music. Junjie, however, observes his surroundings and notices how the reason for the black lighting is from having Phosphoro slugs in large crystal homes that line the lining of the cavern. His brown eyes land on Lily who is dancing contently along with the music, the glow sticks she donned created streams of lights after each motion she made, making her seem sort of supernatural. He's taken from his thoughts when Lily takes his hand in hers again and leads him onto he dance floor with her. She giggles as a new song starts playing and she switches her style of dance to suit the beat better. She stops when she sees that the other slinger is just standing there, not seeming to have any fun.

"What's wrong?" she yells over the music again.

"I've never really danced before, or at all really."

She giggles, "Don't think, just do! No one here is going to judge you for your dancing, in fact I've seen some pretty bad dancers since I've started coming here, but none of the people payed them any mind. You'll be fine! Just do what comes natural!!" And once again, Lily is dancing her heart out.

Junjie watches her as she smiles and continues to dance. Cautiously, he starts to sway along with the music and pretty soon is dancing too, albeit not as vigorously as everyone else in the cavern. Lily glances at her friend and her grin widens.

"There you go!" she says while taking his hands in hers. "Try and keep up, okay?" She leads him into the next dance and he soon follows. Soon enough, the two slingers are dancing to their hearts' content. "You know," Lily says, catching Junjie's attention, "I'm really glad that we got to hang out." Junjie nods in agreement as they continue to dance into the Kate hours of the night.
