Back in Time

Chapter Two - Realization

Rosemarie's POV

I stared at Lexi before I felt an arm wrap around my shoulders. "W-We were in our dorm," I say looking over to see who had their arm around me "sorry we didn't know you were looking for us." I finished before tilting my head, why did the boy with his arm wrapped around me look so familiar, that's when I realized he looked familiar because I had met him before.

He was Sirius Black, Harry's godfather who had been murdered three months ago. But he was young and vibrant and seemed to be very happy. When I looked across the table again I realized that if this was Sirius Black and my Uncle Peter, other two must be James Potter and Remus Lupin. My eyes lingered on each of them and it must have been too long because the one I assume was James Potter because he looked almost exactly like Harry, turned to me and said, "What is it? Do I have something on my face?"

I quickly shake my head and smile at him, "N-No." I whisper and look to Lexi who was looking intently at Remus, I kick her under the table and tilt my head to the side. This was shaping up to be a bad day, I had sent Lexi and me back in time with no way to return. And now I had to figure out how I was going to act normally when I didn't know how these boys were accustomed to Lexi and I acting. This wasn't how I wanted to spend my Saturday.

"Rosie, are you alright? I mean I know you are shy and all but you don't usually act this way with us." The Boy with his arm around me said and as I looked up with him my eyes met his. He had beautiful grey eyes and they were full of happiness and not sad that she had come to expect from the older version of him. I nodded slightly, so I needed to act like I did with Harry and Lexi.

"I'm sorry Sirius," I said my voice soft and I looked towards Peter, realizing that maybe I could change history. I could probably get Peter to talk to me and figure out how I can change Harry's outcome in life. I sigh and lean on Sirius' shoulder without really thinking about it. I don't know if this was normal for their version of me but I do know that I acted this way with Harry because how was like my brother.

I've got to find that book, I've got to know what spell I used and why we were sent back in time. I wonder if I could talk Lexi into helping me but right now I'll just have to play it cool. "So, what are the plans for today Lexi?" I ask biting down on my lip hoping that I can get her to answer.

"Today's Saturday our free day so let's go to Hogsmeade," Lexi replied before looking at the Marauders as I remember Remus saying something about that's what they were called at this time.

Sirius looked down at me it was strange because I could feel his gaze on me. "Mind if we come along?" Sirius said and I looked at Lexi who nodded and gestures towards the door.

"Sure but we better get going," I say with a smile before maneuvering out of his arm and standing up "Lexi and I want to change into something more comfortable don't we Lexi?" I say as she stands up too.

"Yeah, w-we'll meet you at the doors in 20 minutes. " She says.

Remus' POV

I hadn't said a word but something was wrong and I wanted to know what it was. Lexi and Rosemarie were acting really weird like they had done something that they didn't want us to know about. I waited until they were out of earshot before turning back towards the boys, "Were they acting odd to you?" I say looking between my three best mates.

Sirius was first to speak and he sighed softly, "Yeah, they were like they hadn't seen us in years." He looked like he was worried about them probably more about Rosemarie.

"M-M-Maybe, it's because it is early?" Peter suggested and I could only nod maybe I was overreacting. Maybe we had scared them when we sat down.

Lexi's POV

I couldn't stop staring at Remus Lupin it I wondered why but my cheeks were a bright red as I looked in the mirror in our dorm room. "Rosie what have you gotten us into?" I ask as I rummage through my trunk which surprisingly is still in the same spot.

"Lexi, I'm not sure ok? I need to find that book. I need to know what I did and I need to figure out if it is reversible. " Rosemarie says then squeals "Its right here in my trunk! Great!" She says flipping it to the spell she used.

"Well?" I say and see her face has dropped.

"The spell sends you to the time period you were meant to be in, it's not reversible." She says and looks at the ground

"That means we are supposed to be in this time period but why?" I say looking at her.

"Peter, we have to figure out a way to stop Peter from joining you know who," Rosemarie says "but that's probably not the only reason." She says softly.

I sigh and change into a new outfit something meant for days in Hogsmeade. So we are stuck in this time period and now we're going to Hogsmeade with the Marauders. "We better get going, Hogsmeade is waiting," I say and start walking to the door of the dorm room as Rosemarie quickly pull her shirt over her head. And as we walk she braids her hair in pigtails.

We walk down the stairs and I literally run into Remus, my face turns bright red again, it only gets worse when he pulls me back up by my arm.

"Are you alright? Watch where you're going, Lex." He says a glint of amusement in his eyes.

"I'm alright," I say looking away before smiling "A-Are we ready?" I say looking at each of them. Remus drapes his arm over my shoulder and nods.

"Let's go." He says and begins walking, " and I feel like I must be tomato red at this point. I can hear Rosemarie laughing behind me. Oh, how am I going to live this one down?
