When the two of them reached the central area, they found themselves looking at a temple-like structure with a pair of twin oni statues standing over them, guarding the entrance. A row of stairs could be seen going up towards the entrance.

"That must be central area!" Zack commented and Sera nodded in confirmation.

The two of them made their towards the entrance, reaching the bottom of the staircase when they were stopped by a child's voice.

"One, avoid unnecessary training! Two, protect Wutai at all costs!" Sera and Zack readied themselves for combat, as they searched for the voice.

"And three, ugly Shinra SOLDIER dudes... must be punished!"

The both of them simultaneously looked up to see a young girl, no older than the age of nine, standing before them at the top of the stairs, black hair cropped up to her neck with a white bandana tied around her forehead, wearing a green and yellow hooded top and a pair white shorts and matching shoes.

Behind her stood an older looking woman, possibly the same age as Zack, with features vaguely similar to that of the child's with long black hair and brown eyes. She was dressed in a casual but free moving attire of darker colors with her arms half wrapped with bandages. She pinched the bridge of her nose, her eyes closed either from annoyance or embarrassment at the child's actions but Sera had a feeling it from both.

"Who are you?" Zack asked.

The little girl stood defiantly over them from the top of the stairs, "I'm Wutai's greatest warrior! If you wanna go further, you have to go through me!"

'Wutai's greatest warrior... is a child...?' Sera just stared incredulously, not believing what she was seeing.

"Yuffie, leave them alone. Your father is going to be mad." The woman behind the child spoke as she placed a hand on her hips.

"Don't worry Auntie Yuena! I'll protect you from these bad Shin Ra meanies!" the child cried out.

"Shinra... meanies..." Sera repeated in a deadpan, a flat stare on her face. This was getting ridiculous.

"You shouldn't be playing here, it's dangerous! Go home to your parents," Zack told the little girl.

"That's what I've been trying to tell her," the woman mumbled, pinching the bridge of her nose once more.

The little girl suddenly leaped over Zack's head and landed behind the two SOLDIERs. "You're the one who's going home!" The little girl cried out again. "If you insist on going any further, you'll have a fight on your hands!" Then the girl ran forward like a ninja to attack.

Sera turned around to see the woman had pulled out a hammer from behind her and positioned herself, ready to attack. She knew if they were to attack the child the woman will not hesitate to attack and Sera knew she will not be as easily defeated as the rest.

Yuffie came to a halt and punched Zack repeatedly but the blows never reached. Her arms are simply too short. "Whap! Pow! Bam! Take that, bad guy!"

This was the most amusing sight she had ever seen and Sera had to bite the inside of her cheek to keep her from laughing outright at the scene. Zack was simply flummoxed at this situation and the woman simply dropped her head to her palm with a sigh. There was silence for a moment and then Zack immediately knelt down and brought his hands over his head.

"Arrrgh! Nooo! You got me!"

Yuffie bought his act completely and stood up proudly, completely satisfied with herself. "There! That'll teach you to mess with me! Once again, I've brought peace to Wutai! I'll leave the other one to you Auntie Yuena!" And then she just ran off, leaving the three of them alone.
