Yesterday was so busy I forgot to write. Marine Stevens continued to watch us until we walked down the hallway to our room and he disappeared for around ten minutes before he showed up just as we reached our door pretending that he hadn’t been following us all day.

“I just wanted to say goodnight; I hope you both fall asleep, fast.” He said shooting a pointed look at Peter who looked back at him with a look that said ‘why?’ He then put a smile on his face and walked away. Peter and I didn’t show any affection to each other yesterday except for holding hands for a few minutes.

Although Marine Stevens was back Peter and I are still looking for a way to escape. We decided to dig a tunnel amongst the trees. They are big and provide lots of shadow and the tree line extends to within three feet of the chain link fence. We have a lot of digging to do but if we work hard at it we could be gone in no time. It really is the best spot.

Anyways, back to when Marine Stevens was walking away. I closed the door and locked it hoping Marine Stevens wouldn’t try to peak in on us in the middle of the night.

“Finally, nobody’s watching.” Peter said coming up to where I stood with my back to the door. He kissed me and I leaned against the door as he put one hand on my waist and the other on the side of my face.

“I’ve wanted to do that all day.” Peter whispered to me.

“Me too.” I said already feeling the blush that Peter like so much creeping up my face in full force. Peter stepped away and turned towards the bed pulling off his shirt exposing his broad shoulder and back as he got ready for bed. I made myself look away from his eye catching muscles and small scars from his past and I started to get undressed myself. I felt for sure he was looking a couple of times but only caught him actually looking once in the mirror over our dresser. We got in bed and I lay my head in his chest as he settled comfortable on his back. We did fall asleep quickly.

Little things like my head on his chest with his arm around me may not seem like much, but for me they are everything. They are moments that I wait for every day; small things like his heart beat underneath my ear are things that I couldn’t live without now that I’ve had them. I couldn’t live without Peter now. I would search my whole life if I needed to if he went missing. I wouldn’t stop until I found him, and if I couldn’t find him I guess I just wouldn’t live.

Today was much like yesterday, Marine Stevens thinks he’s being sneaky and we scope out the exact route we want to dig, then he comes to see us after his ‘work’ was finished and catches us just before bed to say goodnight and he hopes we’ll fall asleep fast.

Peter kissed me as soon as I closed the door and kept kissing me, for a long time. We got ready for bed after a while and I caught him glancing more than once this time which means he must have been watching like the whole time. Once we were in our pajamas we put on a movie called Signs written, produced and directed by this guy called M. Night Shyamalan who was a movie genius. I use past tense because he stopped making movies after The Happening sort of happened, he’s still alive. But man, did he know how to make a good scary movie.

Marine Stevens isn’t following us today. Apparently he had some actual duties to attend to. Peter and I are going to investigate our dig site further.

Sharp is investigating the ground under the trees while I block her from view; that is from everybody but me. I can’t help it if I’m a guy and she’s bent over. I only looked once or maybe twice.
