Shooting Up Kellin || Kellic

Chapter Four

Kellin's POV

I quietly open the front door, it's one in the morning and Vic would be furious if he found out I was out this late, supposedly getting ice cream. I walked into the house and it was pitch black. Good. Vic is probably sound asleep. I let out a breath of relief and the lights shot on. There Vic was, sitting on the chair with his legs and arms crossed. Not looking happy at all. "Where have you been?" I stood there frozen, I had no idea what to say. "I've been calling and texting you all night! I was worried sick!"

"Uh, I was out getting us ice cream,"

"It took you six hours to get ice cream? Ice cream that you didn't even come home with?"

"Well, all the ice cream places were having trouble with their machines so I went all around town and, and..." I stumbled with my words. I was still high and my mind was cloudy. I felt so good right now and thinking of an excuse was the least of my problems. "Kellin, It's late, what were you really doing?" He got up from the chair and came closer to me. I lowered my head so he would be able to see my eyes.

"I told you I went all around the town to find you some ice cream." He then lowered his face to get a good look at mine. His eyebrows came together and he asked the questions I was hoping he wouldn't. "Are you high?"

"What no, I am not high Vic, I only get high with you." He walked even closer to me and I tried my hardest to avoid eye contact with him, but instead of looking into my eyes he grabbed my wrist and pulled my hoodie sleeve up, revealing needle holes in my arm.

"Heroin? Again?" He shouted, "our rule was we do drugs together, only, and only do the hardcore drugs once."

"I only shoot heroin like once a month, Vic it's fine."

"It's not fine when you lie about where you're going and come back high off your ass in the middle of the night. Who did you even get high with?"

"No one, it was, I just, I got high by myself."

"Oh no you didn't, I know you Kellin, there is no way in hell you can get high by yourself, you'll get bored and start feeling lonely and then cry all night because you feel like a loser getting high alone, so who did you get high with?"

"I, uh got high with Ben, he's Danny's heroin dealer."

"I've met Ben, he doesn't seem like someone who does heroin." I chuckled a little, "what's so funny?" Vic yelled, he always looks so cute when he's mad. My head spinning so fast, it is hard to get my words straight. "Come on tell me, what's so funny?"

"I don't look like someone who does heroin but here I am, doing it," I slurred. His face dropped, he looked tired and extremely frustrated. "You know what, I don't care, I really don't care anymore Kellin."

"What do you mean?"

"Just... just go to bed Kellin." He shook his head and grabbed a pillow and blanket from the bunk and brought it over to the couch.

I started to feel bad but there was nothing I could do, I tried going over to him and talking this out with him but he kept shooing me away. I really fucked up this time. "Sorry I disappointed you, Vic." I left him alone to sleep on the couch and crawled up to the bunk. I pulled the covers over me and sobbed a little. I don't mean to hurt Vic, I just wish he understood that sometimes I need to get high, I need to get so high to drown every emotion in my body. I need to forget everything and everyone that hurt me and heroin does that. No one in this world gets me.

The next day rolled around and Vic was still pissed at me. The whole day he was giving me the silent treatment and it sucked. He didn't even make me breakfast, he always makes me breakfast no matter what. He can't stay mad at me forever, especially tonight. It's time for us to work. We have our shift at the club today. Danny said that there's an event tonight so people from out of town will be at the club today. He even bought us suits for this event.
