So, I saw Disney's "A Wrinkle In Time" and I'm going to give my "review"/opinion on it. THIS WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS. . . Kind of.
And this review can be seen as a bit harsh, I guess?
I would just like to say that I am a fan of Disney movies, they're so magical and I just love them.
But, this movie. . .
It was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I thought about leaving it multiple times. But, I was committed.
In the beginning of the movie, Charles Wallace -- a young boy -- was yelling at a teacher and I couldn't understand what he was saying.
The movie was very predictable for me. Outcast girl teams up with the perfect boy in school, but his dad doesn't think he's perfect.
I thought this movie was going to be good because of the cast. Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine, and Oprah Winfrey in one movie? It sounded cool.
It wasn't interesting. I understand that the girl had flaws, but she was too suspicious and sometimes a hypocrite. Here's why she was a hypocrite when they were running away from something:
Boy: Faster, faster!
Girl: yelling that won't change anything!
Girl after she hides in a tree and the boy is running towards her: Run! Run!
*but yelling won't change anything?*Another time:
Boy: *agrees to get food from a random lady*
Girl: don't trust them, remember?
-Later when they find a man on the beach-
Man: I knew your father, want some food?
Girl: *let's her brother and the boy take some food* you knew my dad?I thought the acting was bad and the only good part was when the love interest was falling from the sky and when the brother got possessed.
You may have a different opinion, but there was a reason why it didn't do good in the box office. It lost Disney around 86 million.
That's the end of my short review.
I love you.
