Going hard in the paint (Gumball x Reader)

See if you get the reference in the title. Also i've never actually DONE paintball before so i might get some things wrong but still i hope you enjoy!

(Nobody's POV)

The match started and both teams scattered across the battlefield. A young woman hid behind a tree, doing her best to avoid getting shot. "(Y/N) be careful! The other team has an advanced player on their side!" A young man's voice was heard in her headset. She put a finger up to her ear and pressed down a button but she looked around before responding. "Which one?" She asked but right after she said that a pink haired boy with a bright blue helmet jumped onto the big rock that lay in the middle, shooting towards your fellow teammates.

"Pink hair, blue helmet! Avoid him at all costs!" She responded with a quick "Okay" and started running through the bushes, taking out some of the other players along the way. The game was a classic Capture the flag with the two teams colors being Red and Blue. (Y/N)'s team was Blue. She made it towards the Red team's base and went into the small shack the contained their flag. She quickly ran towards where the flag stood and was about to grab it when a red paintball whizzed past the side of her head and hit the wall in front of her.

She turned around, slowly, and looked to see who had fired. To her surprise, it was the same pink haired boy she saw earlier, standing right there in the doorway of the shack, his silhouette casting a shadow into the room, it was then she realized he was chewing gum. He blew a bubble and it popped with a loud smack (which startled her) and he spoke "I wouldn't grab that flag if i were you." He said smugly, walking towards (Y/N). She went to shoot him but much to her dismay, she was out of shots. He chuckled. "How about i make a deal with you," He started, grabbing (Y/N)'s attention. "I won't shoot and let you grab the flag and win, BUT," He walked closer, was fully visible at this point. "You let me take you out to dinner tonight." That put a blush on her face, she looked down, wondering what she should do.

"Time is ticking." You looked up and sighed. "Fine. Where too, and what time?" He smiled, gently putting his gun on the ground. "(F/R), at eight." She nodded and walked out, but then paused, as if she had a question, which she did. "By the way, what's your name?" She turned around to face him. "Gabriel, but most call me Gabe." He blew another bubble and popped it. "(Y/N)." She responded. He nodded, "Fits you well, see you tonight." he waved at her and went in the opposite direction from where she was walking a moment ago. As she made her way back to the base the only thing she could think was how she was strangely excited for tonight.
