6. The End

Clary's Point Of View
    My head was on the steering wheel as I sobbed my heart out. Why did I say anything? I should've stayed quiet! Angel I'm such an idiot. I was a sobbing mess. I tried so hard to get them to like me. And now, my boyfriend is probably falling for my sister. I sob even harder. Angel has always gotten everything easily, being the youngest. She got her job, and career handed to her in a silver platter. And Jon also got everything handed, being the oldest. But me? The middle? No, I had to work for everything. And even if I did, my siblings always beat me, In everything. I keep sobbing. I hear a knock on my window. I stop crying and look at Alec. He signals me to roll my window, so I do.
    "So, what seems to be the problem?" He asks. I then start crying again. 
      "Clary, move over," Alec says. I move over and cry In the passenger seat. "Clary, I'm sorry about what happened. You don't deserve what happened," Alec says. "Which is why I'm going to tell you a secret." I sniffle as I look at Alec. "Stop trying so hard, that's why everyone is pushing you, stop dressing up like you're going to work, it's Christmas! Lighten up," Alec says. I keep crying. "Ok," Alec says he turns the engine on. "You owe me big time for this,"Alec says. "We're going shopping," he says.

Alec and I went shopping. I got to know him better and he got to know me. Alec really seemed to like me. Which was my first win all December. It was Christmas Day. I knocked on the house door. I had a black coat with a beanie. I actually looked really formal. The door opened, showing Jenny. "What are you doing here? Did you not get the Memo? We don't want you here!"'Jenny says.
"Jen, let Clary in," Alec says from inside. Jen glares at me, but lets me in anyways.
I walk in and see Alec's face turn into one of disappointment. No one looked happy to see me. Not even Jace, and that, hurt me. He was laughing and talking with my sister. I take off my coat, and Alec's face turns into happiness. I had black leggings on and One of Jace's sweaters that I found. I sit down next to the tree and across from Jace.It was, Angelique,Jace, tree, me, gap,Stephan,Celine,Jenny,Amy,Suzy,Magnus and Alec.
     "So,Clary, what did you get us?" Magnus asks. I smile at him.
      "Well, I've uh, always been good at guessing what people might like." I say. "Here Magnus," I say smiling. He takes it and unwraps it slowly.

     "You're giving me glitter nail polish?"Magnus asks with a raised eyebrow. I feel a little bit of anxiety kick in.
      "Yup, and it's not the cheap kind," I say winking at him. Magnus grins at me.
      "Wow Biscuit, you know me so well, maybe even better than Alec," Magnus jokes. Alec rolls his eyes. I giggle. I grab another present, I give it to Celine. She glares at me. She unwraps the gift slowly. Then she stares at me.
        "What is this?" She asks.
        "It's different types of coffee," I explain. "From, France,Greece,Spain and Argentina,"
        "That's...amazing," Celine says surprised. I smile at her. I grab Stephan's present and give it to him. He opens it. Then he smiles. It was a model airplane.
      "Thank you Clary, this is amazing," He says smiling. I smile back.
       "You're welcome," I grab Jenny's gift and give it to her. She glares at me and opens it.
       "What is this?!"She asks.
        "Well, one of my friends, is Granddaughter of Millicent, so, she flew me this new design." I say.
         "THIS IS FROM MILLICENT?! But those are like....$100,000!" Jenny says.
         "Yes, but, Let's just say, she owes me big time," I grin at her.
          "OH MY GOD THANK YOU!!!" Jenny yells and hugs me. I smile at her. I then give Amy her present. She tears it open.
          "What is this? Is this a joke?" She asks bitterly.
          "Nope! It's all season 3B for Shadowhunters, I had a little help with that one, Alec told me you loved shadowhunters, so I called in a favor from the director and he sent me that, just don't show it to anyone else," I warn.
        "Oh my god....this is amazing!" She says. She laughs happily. I smile at her. I toss angela her usual. She opens it and sighs as she see's the same t-shirt I always give her. I give Alec the big box with holes. He looks at me confused. He opens it and gasps.
       "Is this a joke?" Alec asks. I shake my head smiling. He grabs what's inside. The pug puppy wakes up. He starts licking Alec's face. Alec laughs as he gets licked.
        "His name is Franky,"I say. Alec laughs.
        "Thank you so much Clary!"Alec says as he coddles the pug. I smile. I give Jace his present.  He opens it. It was an Amazon gift card.
         "Can I Uh, talk to you later?" I ask Jace. He nods and slides the gift card into his pocket.

     We talked for hours, Jace's family finally liked me. And it wasn't just because of the presents, they actually liked me! Jace finally pulls me away. We go outside. "Jace," I say. My heart squeezes as I remember him and my sister laughing and talking. "I was going to give you a photo album....but, well...I think I got the memo," I say. Jace stays quiet, frozen. I smile sadly and turn around. And now, that I finally got his family to like me....he fell in love with my sister.
        "Clary," he says. I stop. Frozen in my tracks. Jace runs up to me. He turns me around. And I look into his golden eyes.
         "Yes?" I ask.
         "I had to wait, for my mother to finally give this to me, and I'm so sorry that I didn't protect you. I was confused and I feel terrible for that. But me and your sister....i wanted her to help me pick something out, I was actually about to get it, but then, my mom gave me one that's more important," Jace says.
        "Wha-what are you talking about?" I ask confused. He sighs.
         "I wanted to do this on a nice bridge, in a park, in a Tuz or something, but I guess now I'm going to have to do this outside of my house in jeans and a t-shirt,"he says. He kneels down in one knee. "Clarissa Morgenstern. Will you do me the honor, of marrying me?" Jace asks. I gasp as I see the ring. It was beautiful. My hands were covering my mouth. I start crying. I nod vigorously. I fall Infront of him, he pulls me into his embrace. I hug him, making him lose balance and fall over with me i top of him. He kisses me, then he slides the ring on my finger. "Mom gave me the ring a few minutes ago, and I think it fits you perfectly," I laugh and kiss him again. "I love you Clary,"
     "I love you Jace," I reply.
