The sweltering sun pierced my back as I struggled to bring the cooler outside. As our final summer break finally began, we planned to spend most of our time with each other before we all went our separate ways. I've known these people for as long as I can remember and although I wasn't generally fond of him, I knew in the long run, I'd miss his snarky commentary.

"Give me that, we can't have weaklings like you carrying around prized possessions" Kaden bantered while grabbing the cooler and lightly jogging over to the pool area where everyone else resided.

A half smile was plastered on my face as I rushed inside to help Julia find a swimsuit which she had forgotten, again.

"Did you find anything you like?" I smiled

She showed me this ruffled baby pink swim top with a matching bikini bottom and grinned.

As she went to change I put on a basic black two-piece and returned outside.

"Great, and I thought the view was already bad" Kaden groaned after quickly throwing a playful smirk

"I know right, I have to look at you all day, Bless the blind" I retorted as I purposely jumped into the pool to splash Kaden

"Even better, we have a whale in the pool" Kaden exclaimed as he burst out into pure laughter

I know he did not just say what I think he said. I tried to rush towards him to slap but he was way too fast and swam into the deep end.

"What's wrong Princess? Can't Swim?" he grinned as he continued to swim in the opposite direction.

"You guys are such little kids" Alec chuckled

"Exactly" Julia giggled as she walked outside.

Alec's face flushed red. He's always in denial about his feelings for Julia but it's fine since Julia is exactly the same way.

" If I didn't know you, I'd assume you were a couple" she winked as she carefully and cautiously got into the pool.

In unison, we immediately started gagging at each other. We'd be the couple sent up from hell.

As it started to become more chilly, We decided it was time to go inside. As the boys changed into warmer clothes, Julia and I scurried up the stairs to change as well.

After we both changed, we decided it would be nice to use the campfire outside. As the boys set up the fire, Julia and I, grabbed crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate. Ever since I can remember, we've always made s'mores it kind of like our tradition.

We hurried outside with snacks and s'mores supplies and sat down. Of course, I would have to sit next to the one and only.

"I'm going to miss you guys so freaking much" Julia pouted.

The thought of going through life without any of them seems right next to impossible.

"We have to make this summer remarkable" Alec stated as he stood up.

"Yeah, we should do something super adventurous" Julia chimed.

"How about a summer at my beach house? I'm sure my parents won't mind," Kaden questioned

"YES!" Julia exclaimed

"Oh my god yes!" I grinned.

'Sounds good to me" Alec smiled.

Sounds like our summer won't suck after all. Excitement is about to begin.
