Dean's P.O.V
I woke up at the same place as always, in a crappy motel room. Sammy was sitting in a chair reading the newspaper, when he heard me wake up.
"Dean, finally" he exclaimed, rolling up the papers and approached me.
"Mhhhhm" I groaned, still tired from the last job. "Man, we just finished a job, let me rest for once" Suddenly, Sam took my blankets away and lifted up the curtains. "Hey!"
"Dude, I'm serious, there is something going on in this town" he showed me the newspaper, then passing it to me. "And hey, if there is no job I promise I'll get you some pie."
"You son of a bitch" I mumbled, then I jumped off bed "Ok, alright"
I opened the newspaper Sammy had passed me. In the front page there was a big picture of a forest glowing blue, with the title of 'Mysterious beam illuminates the forest'.
"Harrisville, New Hampshire? Well, you convinced me that I'm not driving." We both chuckled.
After we both packed our stuff from the last job, we got into baby and hit the road. I woke up when I heard the engine being turned off, it was barley dark.
"Good morning" Sam said, I could notice some anger in his voice
"Why didn't you wake me?" I stretched my body, then moving my hand into my pocket where I took my hip flask.
"Isn't it too early for that?" Sam stared at me, I took a sip and then he rolled his eyes.
"Don't be such a fucking sour puss you son of a bitch"
"Jerk"

After we arranged our stuff at the motel, we parted ways. Sam was going to interview some people and I to a bar crossing the street.
I sat in the front bar, which was almost empty. There was an old man few seats away from me. "Scotch please" I ordered the bar tender, and a few seconds later he served my drink.
"What is doing a handsome guy like you in this town?" The bar tender flirted and winked. I suddenly blushed. But why?
"I'm here for a small job." I stated
"Job? Can I know? I mean, sorry for bothering, but nothing really happens in here" he refilled my glass, and serving one for his own.
"I came for that beam, I'm making an article for a magazine." I drank my shot.
"I guess it's not going that well" then my phone rang, it was Sam.
"Dean, I've got nothing but theories. Maybe you should go to the forest" Sam said on the other line, then he hung up. I took a few bills and left them on the table.
"Keep the change"

Sam left walking so I took baby with me to the forest. We parked at the side of the road, where there was an open entrance to the woods. I took a gun from the trunk, I then started walking into the forest.
It was quiet, calm, I enjoyed it. There is never a moment of peace these days. There is only work, and if I'm not doing that, I'm probably sleeping or drinking.
I was tired.
I walked endlessly, getting away from something, maybe myself. Then I ran, I ran until I couldn't breathe.
I fell, and started crying.
I may or may not have passed out, but it felt like I was there for hours. All I know is that I saw the light. A bright blue light, comming a few miles from where I was.
My legs were trembling and my chest hurt, and astonished, I slowly walked towards the beam.
There it was. Glowing again.
The more I walked, the more i realized how destroyed this part of the forest was. And I saw it. There was a huge hole, like a meteor blast. But when I looked closer, i realized it wasn't.
I climed down the catastrophic hole, but I was so weak that my foot slipped, and I started rolling down. Fuck my life. My head was bleeding, so were my knees and other spots of my body, it hurt like hell.
In the middle of the caos, there was no meteor or bomb; there was a man, a winged man. He was the source of the glow. His feathers were pure black, so was his hair, but the rest of his body was covered by his wings. I just wanted to see him.
I got closer, slowly and cautiously, meaning no harm to the creature. And when I was close enough, I kneeled and rolled him over. When I touched his feathers he shivered, they were soft and smooth.
He was so inocent, and he looked scared. I couldn't leave him. Not there, not like this. I grabed my phone from my pocket and called Sam.
"Hey Sammy"
"Dean? Oh god I though something happened to you. I called you like a million times dude, what happened?" Sam exclaimed worried
"I passed out, but it's ok, I'm ok."
"No Dean, it's not! I know you've been drinking way too much and crying at night. Just stop pretending you are fine." I couldn't see him but swear a tear fell from his eyes.
"Sammy it's ok for now. Can we talk about this later? I found the source that caused the glowing in the forest, but I'm going to need your help" I declared
"Wait De-" I hung up
For a few minutes, I stared at him, until I realized he was pale and barely breathing. I grabed his hand and he was freezing. I couldn't wait for Sam to arrive, for then it would be too late.
With all my strength, I grabbed the winged creature into my arms and possitioned his wings in a confortable way so I wouldn't hurt him. The first few steps I made he almost fell from my arms, but the more time I had him in my arms, the stronger he made me.
I climed, jumped, ran, anything to get him to safety. But I didn't know why I wanted to do that for him. I mean, any other hunter would've killed or captured him. Everyone but me. I wanted to protect him, heal him, make him feel something.
When I got were baby was, Sammy was waiting for me. His eyes were wide open when I showed up. But he didn't say a word.
"Drive" I commanded "I'll go with him in the back" I laid him across the seats, placing his head in my leg.
The first minutes were awkwardly silent, until the man started moving, moving every second more agitated. He let a scream out, one of pain. When he opened his eyes, they started flashing blue light out of them. In that moment, he rapidly raised his hand and grabbed my deltoid. It started burning more as he kept pressing, but I tried to control myself from screaming, although a few seconds later I did. Sam at the wheels almost lost control of the car, and just went faster. The light slowly faded from his eyes as he started letting go off my arm, which I nearly felt from the pain.
For just a moment, his eyes stayed open, but there was no light left. Just blue, the perfect blue. Those seconds felt eternal. Because those eyes were just beautiful.
This is the end of the chapter. I'm kind of writing this fanfic for me because I don't think anybody will read it. But if you are, I want you to know that this is my first serious writing in English, since I'm not an English speaker. You should thank Kissa_Kitty for correcting most of my story and adding some of her special touch.
