There was a war that occurred 3000 years ago, where a Demon broke peace between the clans. It was called the Holy War. Meliodas a demon, fell in love with a Goddess name Elizabeth. The peace between The Goddess Clan and the Demon Clan broke and they fought until death. The Goddess Clan allied with the other four clans to fight beside them. The war, fortunately, ended and The Demons were sealed in the Coffin of Eternal Darkness, while the Goddess Clan lost their powers and ability to maintain in their physical form.
This happened 3000 years ago, and a possed Holy Knight had revived The Ten Commandments. The battle between The Ten Commandments and The Seven Deadly Sins ended, and unfortunately, the Ten Commandments won.
They killed the Captain of The Seven Deadly Sins who was a former member of The Demon Clan. The Ten Commandments, The Red Demons, and The Gray Demons planned to take over Brittania and revive the Demon King.
Princess Elizabeth also was known as an Apostle of the Goddesses. Ater the death of her beloved, she met a member of The Ten Commandments whose name is Zeldris and the brother if her beloved.
