The Drug Addiction - Michael Clifford

Chapter 3

I woke up at around 6:30am and dragged myself out of bed. I walked into the bathroom and took a shower after brushing my teeth. I wanted a slightly different look with my makeup today so I applied my light foundation, put a setting powder over it before doing more eyeliner than usual with extra mascara to make my eyes darker. I applied a light pink blush and a bright red lipstick for a change.

I didn't really know what to do with my hair but didn't want to straighten it again so I curled it before straightening my fringe and putting on a black beanie.

I was already dressed in my black skinny jeans with my blink 182 tee and my combat boots.

I grabbed my iphone, money and school bag. I ran downstairs placing both earphones in my ears and plugging them into the small hole in the phone. Heading out the door, I walked to the shop. I walked in and saw David behind the counter. My parents get on well with him so I can get what I want here.

"Hey, David" I smiled.

"Oh, hey Luciee. How are you?"

"I'm good, yourself?"

"Yeah, I'm not bad thanks. The usual?"

"Yeah, and a lighter today please" i replied as I walked towards the back of the shop where the fridge was.

I grabbed a couple of red bulls and a bag of wotsits before walking back to the counter.

"This your breakfast again?" he asked raising an eyebrow at me.

"Yupp" I replied,  see this was a regular thing for me.

"Well, that's 6 dollars 50 please" I handed him the money but he handed it back. I looked at him confused.

"On me today"

I smiled before thanking him and grabbing my box of 20 cigarettes, my lighter, my redbull and wotsits.

I walked out of the shop and headed for the bus stop. it was still only 7am so I decided to go to Michaels house, since he always traveled alone.

I arrived at his house, knocking the door. Michael answered the door in nothing but his boxers. Okay, that's cool. Open the door to a stranger in your underwear.

"Shit. Luciee. Sorry. Shit." I giggled at his little freak out before replying.

"It's fine, honestly, I just came to ask if you wanted to travel to school with me today?"

"Uh sure. Do you wanna wait inside?" He asked, leading me to the living room.

"I'll be right back." He ran upstairs.

About five minutes later, his mother came in and almost had a heart attack when she saw me.

"Oh. You scared me haha, hello" she laughed.

"Hey, Mrs Clifford. I just came to see if Michael wanted to travel to school with me, he's getting ready now." I replied.

"You managed to get that boy out of bed before 9? Wow, you're honestly something special"

I laughed and waited for Michael while his mum offered me food and tea.
