I think I understand now.

Asriel is Flowey- maybe it's better to say Flowey is Asriel. I don't know what I need to do, but I do want to talk to Asgore, who is... somehow alive again?

I don't know.

All I know is that the monsters in the Underground... they're all I have now.

They're more of a family than I've ever had before.

Toriel...

I just want to see Toriel again. I'm so tired. I know she'd let me live with her if I could find her.

So I'll go and see Asgore.

It's as if we haven't already fought. Asgore sighs and turns to me. "Human..." he says, "It was nice to meet you. Goodbye.

Then a fireball hits Asgore and Toriel comes in. "What a miserable creature, torturing such a poor, innocent youth. Do not be afraid, my child. It is I, Toriel, your friend, and guardian."

"I know! I remember!" I cry, then throw myself at her.

She gives me a tight hug. "At first, I thought I would let you make your journey alone, but I could not stop worrying about you. Your adventure must have been so treacherous. And ultimately, you would be burdened with a horrible choice. To leave this place, you would have to take the life of another person. You would have to defeat Asgore. However... I realized that I cannot allow that. It is not right to sacrifice someone simply to let someone leave here. Is that not what I have been trying to prevent this whole time? So, for now, let us suspend this battle. As terrible as Asgore is... He deserves mercy, too." I nod and give her another tight hug.

Asgore gapes. "Tori... You came back!"

Toriel scoffs. "Do not 'Tori' me, Dreemurr! You pathetic whelp. If you really wanted to free our kind, you could have gone through the barrier after you got one SOUL, taken six SOULs from the humans, then come back and freed everyone peacefully. But instead, you made everyone live in despair because you would rather wait here, meekly hoping another human never comes.

"Tori... You're right... I am a miserable creature." Asgore sighs. "Do you think we can at least be friends again?"

Toriel scowls. "NO, Asgore."

Then Undyne comes in. "Ngahhhhhh!!! Asgore! Human!! Nobody fight each other!!! Everyone's gonna make friends, or else I'll...!! I'll..." She trails off.

Toriel greets Undyne respectfully. "Hello. I am Toriel. Are you the human's friend? It is nice to meet you."

"Uh, yeah...? Nice to meet you!" She turns to Asgore and lowers her voice. "Hey Asgore, is that your ex? Jeez. That's rough, buddy.

Alphys runs into the palace. "H-hey! Nobody hurt each other!!" She says breathlessly and then looks from me to Undyne to Toriel to Asgore in shock.

Toriel smiles. "Oh! Are you another friend? I am Toriel. Hello!"

Alphys blinks at Toriel. "Uh, h-h-hi!" She turns to me in alarm. "...Th-there's two of them???"

Papyrus enters. "HEY! NOBODY FIGHT ANYONE! IF ANYONE FIGHTS ANYONE...! THEN I'LL!!! BE FORCED!!! TO ASK UNDYNE FOR HELP!!!" He yells.

"Hello!" Toriel says happily.

"OH! HELLO, YOUR MAJESTY!" He looks from Toriel to Asgore. "PSST! HEY, HUMAN... DID ASGORE SHAVE...? AND... CLONE HIMSELF????"

Sans enters and takes in the situation coolly. "Hey guys... what's up?" he asks, nonchalant.

Toriel gasps. "That voice!! Hello. I think we may... know each other?"
